Horrible ending to a beautiful day -I feel that Coral House didnt care about me at all

This is all my personal experience from my wedding this past saturday: I feel Coral House ruined my wedding - was the most horrible ending to a beautiful day...I could have let it slide till the owner yelled at me :(

I would personally not recommend them to any bride that cares about them self. they were decent to my guests, some cold food, a few tables with bad service, rude matri'd to me and my bridal party, but to the bride...I felt they took my money and didnt care about me at all.

I felt rushed out at the end...no one even had the respect to come up to me and say 'hey we have another party, lets move this to the lounge and open a cash bar'...which is what Linda Hunt told me they do when parties run over and another is booked at my very first meeting. the owner yelled at me for defending one of my vendors, i left in HYSTERICAL TEARS...I sat outside crying in my wedding dress.

I have cried for the past 2 days and the owner wont even return any of our phone calls or apologize for being so mean.

I felt like they were ok to my guests, some guests had hair in their food, some had cold food, my bridesmaid was hit in the head with a chair by staff and no one apologized, they kicked me out of the bridal suite, i asked for water 6 times only to have the DJ bring it to me becasue he saw I was about to faint, wrong cake, they lost the top tier to my cake, the matri'd man handled one of our groomsmen, the matri'd was rude to me, wrong ceremony pieces, ugly (personal opinion) planters with either dead, or ungrown plants by the altar, they broke a ton of my stuff at the end by rushing us out and shoving it into boxes, they treated a few of my outside vendors very poorly in my opinion...it was just a really really terrible experience from the perspective of myself as a bride.

(I repeat this is all my personal experience, the owner threatened to sue me as I sat outside crying in my wedding dress, because I told him I was going to post this review, so I must make it clear that this is 100% the truth from my personal experience and I am sure every bride experiences something different there and pray none so bad as my experience since no woman deserves that)

I have never been more sad to have a dream crushed in my life. based on my personal experiences, if you care about being a bride at all, and not just about your guests, then stay far far far away from Coral house. again this is all based on my personal experience that I just had with the new owners this past weekend, and I am sure some brides had a great wedding, but I personally feel sick to my stomach that I just threw away my life savings to a place that could care less about me than the geese poop all over the ceremony space outdoors :(

Aww Lindsay, I'm so sorry that they treated you so poorly! We had a great time at your wedding, but the service left so much to be desired. They were quick to take your plate away while you weren't done eating. However if you needed a drink, you would need to basically beg to like 3 different waiters until someone would finally bring you it. Then when you got your drink, the waiters would take it away before you're finished. They asked if you were done, and regardless of your response they would take your glass anyway! I don't care if there's a few sips left, but it's going to take you an hour to get a drink, I'm not about to give it up!

That is beyond unprofessional! You paid them all this money and then they treat you like crap. It's your wedding day they should be catering to you! So sorry they ruined your day.

oh no!!! i am so sorry!! that is the worst thing on a wedding day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hope you look back and remember the good things - it's so horrible you had to deal with any of that!

I'm sorry this happened to you They robbed you of your special moment. No bride should be left in tears sitting on a curb in her wedding dress. I hope they make good and save what little reputation they have. We spend a ridiculous amt of money on weddings and to be treated like this is wrong!! I hope they do the right thing!

I just want them to repay me for the items they broke, replace the top tier of my cake that they lost, write a letter of apology, and refund me for the 9 no-shows since I was never sent home with their plates as promised by Frank.

I am still missing a ton of items, and the few I do have are broken...all my table numbers are broken, 16 out of 22 of my glass mason jars were shattered in the box since they were not packed up in the same slotted boxes I brought them to Coral House in, my katubah was cracked, and 3 other small signs that were in glass frames were all shattered in boxes they were thrown in.

I can never get back the memory from that day, i've been trying to enjoy my time with Justin, but just keep breaking down into tears...

I never wish ill on anyone, and the same goes to Mr. Yamali and his staff at Coral House... I hope instead they learn from their mistakes, don't overbook or hurt anymore brides after what they did to me...I hope they have a long talk with the Matri'd John about not laying his hands on guests, and have a talk with their chefs about cleanliness in the kitchen so no other brides are embarrassed when their MIL and aunt come complaining about hair in their food. But I don't wish anything bad to happen to them...I hope they learn from their mistakes, unfortunately at my expense...but it is what it is at this point.

People make mistakes, and I can find it in me to forgive if they can do the right thing and honor my 3 very small requests, which don't even begin to fix what they did by ruining the memories of our wedding day :(

This is just horrible.
I had a list of locations for my friend to visit for her wedding but this place is defintely off the list now. I thought with the new manager everything was a little better but I see that it is not. So sorry you had to go thru this, no bride should be treated like this on their special day.

This place is now off the list for our daughters wedding!!!!

No bride should be treated this way, and I will let everyone I know that is looking for a venue know just how you were treated, word of mouth is a powerful tool.

So sorry you had to deal with this Lindsay..I know how much time and effort you put into your planning. If it's any colsolation, you were a beautiful bride and all of your little details were amazing. <3

I have to agree with you Lindsay! the service was poor, my food was cold and had hair in it and I just felt like we were being rushed with how quickly the waitstaff was taking away our plates!. Nobody deserves to be treated the way you were, let alone on their wedding day in their wedding dress!!. Your wedding was beautiful, and all the details made it so amazing! everyone had a wonderful time but that's because you have great friends and family!. I definitely will not be recommending Coral House to any of my friends that are engaged!.

And don't even get me started about the food! My FH got up to go to the bathroom and his salad was gone! He hardly touched it! Of course we got our food and it was cold. Lucky for us we didn't have any hair in it, unlike some people did! Disgusting!!

Then when they came around asking if we wanted cake (there were 4 of us sitting at the table), we all said we wanted some, and they only brought us 3 pieces!

AND they made one of my great friends cry in her wedding dress!! This is her day! She paid them great money. She didn't deserve to be treated that way!!

As a bridesmaid at this wedding, I just want to express how upset I was that I was pulled out of the reception to collect her items in the bridal suite. What kind of venue does this to a bride and her bridal party? I missed alot of important moments that they cannot give back to me or the bride. Lindsay had a song sent out directly to her wedding party and we were busy getting everything out of the bridal suite... Also the other bridesmaid got hit in the head with a chair by one of the employees and they didnt even stop to apologize ... I cannot believe how horrible this situation was for us all.

I know many future brides and will be sure to tell them to stay FAR FAR away from the Coral House!!!! So sorry for how they treated you. They are unprofessional and obviously don't know anything about the catering business. I guess they don't realize that negative experiences will be shared by word of mouth over and over. The bad venues don't make it!! Hopefully THEN they will realize what they have done since obviously they don't care now...

They need to make this right. We all know what goes into planning a wedding. This is so unfair to you to be left feeling this way. I would contact the better business bureau and also think about small claims court. I would not stop until something was done about this.

Take them to People's Court. They'll be on TV for the whole country to see what terrible people they are.

In the mean time, there are other places, like Yelp and other wedding websites where you can let people know how you were treated. This is also the kind of thing the local news would like to hear about.
