My Wedding Review...7/4/13 Westbury Manor, Rev Aviva, Bravura Entertainment, Cheeky Glam, French Kiss Bourdior, Pedestals, Frosh Travel, Light House Phtotography and more

I know my review is long but I want to get everything in here. I know when I first came to this site I had 1,001 questions so for the new brides coming in I hope this helps.

Most of my vendors were excellent with A ratings except for The Hyatt.

Rev Aviva – A+++++++ She was so an Angel to work with. From reading all of the forums on here, I decided to use Pastor April but when I called her she said she was booked and recommended her coworker Rev Aviva. We went to her office for a consultation and loved her from the beginning. Our consultation was really nice and made us feel confident about our ceremony. We decided to have her personalize our ceremony. This was a great idea. She emails us a copy of the ceremony and asked us for our feedback. It was perfect she even incorporated how we met in the ceremony (we met on a plane) I was in tears reading the ceremony. It was perfect. After the ceremony she gave us a hard copy of the ceremony in a book. She also mailed our marriage certificate to the court house. By the time we got home from our honeymoon we had our official notarized copy of our marriage certificate from Albany

Viana Hotel – A++++++ I love this hotel. My sister did my surprise bridal shower here, I stayed here the night before the wedding and we stayed here the day after the wedding. From the manager on down to the front desk this hotel is so professional, clean and makes you feel welcome. For my shower they made my quest feel absolutely welcome. My sister said they communicated with her continuously to make sure my shower was exactly how my sister wanted it and envisioned it to be. The chef made a cake for me on that day because he heard I love strawberry shortcake. For my shower the chef made a 3 course lunch. The Viana was so accommodating. The day before my wedding I had a suite. They gave me this dress hanger so my dress, train and veil could hang without getting wrinkled. The suites was great for pictures. The day after the wedding we stayed here. They put rose petals all throughout the suite and put a bottle of champagne by the Jacuzzi tub.

Gold Star – A+++++ I used Gold Star for the pickup and drop-off service on the day of my wedding. I didn't want to pay a lot of money and I wanted a Rolls Royce. There was nothing special about the Rolls but it was nice and was one of the vintage Rolls. The driver drives on the opposite side because it is vintage there was no AC LOL. The service was nice and the driver was nice. I give them a A because they did what I asked and was pleasant to work with.

Lighthouse Photography A+++++ I love Lighthouse and the teasers were awesome. I can’t wait to see the picture and the video. We had Michael, Michelle and I think Ken for photography and videography. They were patient when I was trying to do the pose. They even showed me what to do. When my DH was tired of taking pictures they were very patient. They got all my photos must have. We spelled the word LOVE In sparklers and they captured that. They also got pictures of us at the vintage phone booth at Westbury Manor. The videographer had such great energy. He was so excited on my wedding my day and inspired everyone. He showed me a clip and the clip was really nice. When I get the video I will post the video.

Westbury Manor – AAA++++++++++ What can I say about Westbury Manor. They were everything I hoped for and then some. My banquet manager Ian was so awesome. He answered all questions I had. Anything I wanted to do for my wedding he made sure it was possible. He helped me with a vendor who originally told me they were booked and they couldn't take me as a client. He helped me so much and I am going to miss him. My Maitre’D Edward took care of everything for me. The flow the schedule on my day was perfect. He even helped us to cut the cake. Gianna my bridal attendant was so sweet. She had my lip gloss and mirror on call every second. She helped me so much. My wedding day was so beautiful. Westbury Manor is such a beautiful place to get married. The service is excellent. The food is great. My Viennese hour was so nice. Everyone was like oh wow! Someone nearby did fireworks on my wedding during cocktail hour which was perfect timing and a excellent touch. One funny thing that happened during my wedding was when I walked down the aisle the bird in the tree was whistling at me. Everyone laughed. I forgot to get a picture of the peacocks. You will have a perfect wedding at Westbury Manor. They are so accommodating.

Bravura Entertainment A+++++++++++++
The music for the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception was so good. I was so worried about the music because you have to have great music for your wedding because that will make or break your wedding. The music was so good. During the reception the dance floor was never empty unless we were eating. Our wedding was over at 2:00 AM and the dance floor was filled until then. For the ceremony we had violinist because I wanted a romantic feel and they were great. I highly recommend them. They were money well spent. The MC was really good as well. He connected with everyone. He has great energy. Janelle helped me planning the music for my wedding and she was so pleasant to work with.

Francesco’s Bakery A++++++++++++ I was so nervous about using them because there are mixed reviews on here. They were perfect. I love how my cake came perfect. I drop off the bling lining to them and they adding the bling stones on the cake. I got a buttercream cake with one cake layer with fresh strawberries and the other with raspberry filling. The cake was so good. They also did our viennesse hour and it was such a success. Everyone love the pastries, fruits, chocolates , canollies and everything else that they supplied for the Viennese hour. They was also chocolate shots. The Maitre’D took us to the side and let us take the chocolate shot before everyone came in. He also showed us what the Viennese look like. I had to-go boxes for everyone to take home desserts with them and that was a hit. I had little stickers for everyone with our initials to seal the boxes.

Channa A+++++++++++ Channa is so sweet. She always responds to all my emails and was helpful in picking the right design, color and size for my plaque. I love my plaque and was excited to put it up once we got married.

Nicole Lyons A++++++++++I love my makeup on my wedding day. Nicole is so sweet. I went through so many makeup artist and was so glad when I finally found one that I love. I like that she comes to you for your trial. She was on time on the day of the wedding and did all of our makeup. Our makeup last all day. She gave me my lip-gloss to have so I can use throughout the day. Nicole communicates well by phone than email.

Nicole Clark A++++++++ I love our mini selves. I think they were such a hit on our wedding. So many people at our wedding was so surprised because they never seen anything like that before and how the details were just like us. We had the same dress hairstyle and tux as my DH. Nicole was nice to work with and very responsive with emails.

Cheeky Glam Events – A+++++++++++++ I love these girls. They were so so so helpful. I was one of those people who was wondering if I really need one because you have the Maitre’D , bridal assistant and Maid of Honor but you do need one. I was getting so stressed out during the last 60 days of my planning and throughout my planning they would chime in and give me answers to any questions I had. Even if I needed to vent about something they would listen. I had a problem with the Hyatt and they fix it with no problem. When I did my final interview with them I felt so relieved when they said we will take it from here. I totally exhaled. They made sure everything was the way I wanted from the ceremony – reception. They bought over stuff from the hotel to Westbury Manor that I forgot to bring the week of to WM. I rented their card box from them and they picked it up from WM the day after the wedding. They gave out all of the tips. They notice I forgot the cake topper “H” so they ran back to our car and got it. They were so helpful. There is so much you are thinking about that day and they are they to do it for you so you can just enjoy your day.

Syosset Wine Cellar A++++++++++ – I just stumbled upon this place because I was looking for a place that sells mini bottles of Proseco. I didn't think this would be a challenge but Syosset Wine Cellar had them and I was so grateful. The turnaround time was like 3 days. The bottles was great was favors. I added some decorations to jazz them up.

The Hyatt B+ – The Hyatt was one of the room blocks that I had. I used them because we got the free room from Westbury Manor. They also offered shuttle service to Westbury Manor and back to the Hyatt. At times I had questions and felt the manager wasn't that accommodating. The Day before the wedding I spoke to them to let them know that my DOC’s will be checking me in to the hotel the night before and that was a problem. You don’t want to hear any problems the day before the wedding. I had so much to do that day and they wanted me to come in show them my credit cards (Mind you they already had it for security purposes when I booked the room) and they wanted me to sign paper work stating it is OK to to add my DOC’s to my room so they could check me in. I asked them if I can email or fax it over and they said no it has to be in person. I had so much to do that day and was rushing so I can get my dress and they wanted me to stop over there. So I was upset. The only alternatives they said was to let me DOC use there card as security for the room. Ridiculous! So I went over them and gave them my credit card so they can put it on file AGAIN and my id. I gave them a B+ because I left my I-pad there when we checked out and called them 3 hours later and they said they had it and I could pick it up.

Cory from Frosh Travel aka Luxury Travel Girl A++++++++ – I found out about Cory from my DOC’s Cheeky Glam Events. Cory is the sweetest person and she did a great job on our Honeymoon. We got all of our excursions in Italy and the place we stayed in Greece made us feel like royalty. The Hotel is Greece was such a great experience. We love that place. She gave us a travel details in a leather pouch with luggage tags and she also had a personal note in there for us. She responded to all of my emails and phone calls. It was so great to have her handle our honeymoon travel.

Italy / Greece – This was perfect for our honeymoon. We both haven’t been to Europe and I knew this would be the best time to go for our honeymoon. We went to Italy first. We went to Florence, Tuscany and Rome. We did all the excursions in Italy (Vatican, Academia, Uffizi Gallery, Trivet Fountain, we climbed the tower of Pisa, Winery in Tuscany, and the Coliseum. By the time we left Italy we were exhausted and ready for Greece. The food was really good in Italy. The prices were great. We ate everything and it was so fresh.

The next stop Greece. We went to Santorini. Santorini is like something you never saw before. It is absolutely beautiful. The place we stayed gave you the honeymoon feel. They personally pick you up from the airport and take you back when you leave. The bring breakfast to your suite and or balcony every morning. They gave us bottle water every day. When we arrived they gave us fruit and a bottle of wine. The second day they have us chocolate and a bottle of champagne. We had private use of the spa for the Jacuzzi and sauna. The food was really good here as well. We went to the black and red sand beaches. We loved Italy but Greece was beautiful. Just to let you know there are a lot of stray cats there. LOL I don’t know why but something I notice.

I-DJ Now – A++ My DJ didn't offer Gobo designs and recommended them to order my Gobo design. They had tons of designs from this website I-DJ Now recommended and I was pleased with my design. It took about a week. The only thing is when you place your order you have to go back and pick it up. They couldn't mail it. It’s really small. Check the floor size of your venue. Our room was too small so they showed the designed on the wall behind the sweetheart table.

Men’s Warehouse A+++++++ – My DH got his tuxedo and the groomsmen there. We were pleased with them. It was the Vera Wang design. They give you everything for your day. The Tuxedo, shoes, cufflinks and etc… They give you everything but their underwear’s. LOL
Forever Flowers – I’m using them to preserve my flowers. I haven’t received them yet but I will post a picture when I get them back. I love my bouquet so much. Pedestals did such a great job.

Pedestal Flowers – A++++++++++++ Pedestals is so professional. We loved them the first time we met them but understood they were a little expensive. We won a gift card from WM showcase she that made our decision and I was happy. The room we had and the tables they have at WM we didn't want to do the high pedestals in case anyone wanted to talk across the table. We had low centerpieces and we were very pleased with them. They match our wedding colors and they had roses, hydrangeas and peonies. They also decorated our sweetheart table. Virgil was our representative and floral decorator.

Craft Cuts – A++++++ I found out about Craft Cuts for fellow brides Kat and Jassy. Kat gave me all the details I needed to make my cake topper and it was simple and it worked. Yay! If you like this company of facebook you will get 10% off. They are not expensive but ever little bit helps. So I ordered to cake toppers in case I messed up. I spray painted the cake topper and glued on the rhinestones and it came out perfect.

Very Jane – A+++++ I found out about Very Jane from Noelle and I love this site. I got stickers for my togo boxes for the Venetian hour. I think I paid like $5 for either 50 or 100. Subscribe to their site and get their deals email to you. They offer the stickers every couple of months.

Dutch Girl Cleaners A++++ – I used them to preserve my gown. I love the box it big. They did a good job because they were afraid at first that the cleaning will destroy the beading in my gown but he said he will do most of the cleaning by hand.

Macy’s Manhasset A++++++++++ – They are so professional here. They were sweet to me and so helpful when I came to look out gowns. I went to a few places to look at gown and yes I went to Kleinfeld to. All the places were great. I think when you look for your gown you have to be open and not have a set mind on what you think you should wear or where you should get it from. I thought I looked good in a certain gown but when I tried it on I look awful. I never expected to get my gown from Macy’s because I never been to their bridal salon before. It is really pretty at their bridal salon and they are very helpful and have a large selection of gowns. I got my bridesmaids dress there to. I got them at a discount because I got my dress there and veil.

MY Trimmings –A++++++++ I love this place. You can really rack up here. I got the trimmings for my bouquet here and I LOVED it. The trimming on my bouquet was so pretty. Everyone loved it. Virgil from Pedestals loved it. He said I did well LOL

French Kiss Bourdior –A++++++++++ I love Irina. She was very professional and made me feel comfortable. In her price you also get hair and makeup done in the salon and then the shoot is in her studio. I have a bill me later account so I had 6 months free to pay the bill interest free. She is less than Jenerations and just as good. Cheeky Glam recommended her to me. In her price you get your photos on disc and on your own personal website. So you can print them out or do a photobook with snapfish, picaboo or shuterfly. My pictures were very classy. My fiancé was very surprised and happy about them.

Tri-County Market – A+++ I got my day of jewelry and the bands from here. Great selection and prices.

If you want bachelorette party ideas we went to Village Underground (awesome place), the pod hotel for their roof top bar and we ate at Pescatore. At Pescatore they had personalized menus with my name on them for everyone who attended my bachelorette party. They were very cute and the food here is good. I had a pre-fix menu for everyone. They have a few you can choose from and I also had wine on the tables for everyone. I rented a stretch Audi from Camelot. I love the Audi. I guy in the street got so excited when the Audi pulled up that he jumped inside to see what it looks like. Crazy! I highly recommended Camelot. That Audi was awesome! Our driver was so nice and made sure we had enough time for every place we wanted to visit.

My mom did the escort cards and programs for me. I got my I-DO stickers, garter, and bridesmaids gifts from Etsy. I got my togo boxes from papermart
