Pictures & Reviews from my Summer Evening Wedding at Fox Hollow! 6/30/13

Hi Long Island Brides! I just posted pictures from my wedding! I got married in June of this year at the Fox Hollow. Both my ceremony and reception were in the Winter Garden Pavilion. I had an evening ceremony that began at 7 PM - I was a little nervous about having such a late wedding on a Sunday - but it ended up being TOTALLY fine - actually perfect! People planned for it, took the Monday off of work and had a ball. I'm glad I didn't compromise my wishes of an evening/night wedding.

VENUE - I walked into the Fox Hollow and fell in love with the Winter Garden Pavilion. It was intimate, had a garden feel, with lots of natural light and beautiful chandeliers. But I'm not going to lie - the staff was VERY hard to deal with during the planning process - inaccessible and impatient. HOWEVER - the day of the wedding they took INCREDIBLY good care of me and all of the staff were VERY attentive. My banquet manager was Josh and he was the nicest person, very helpful, organized and made sure everything went off without a hitch. The food was incredible (from what I tasted!). Everyone has been raving for months about the food, venue, and the overall wedding. It was so funny because there was so much food that people thought the cocktail hour was the reception! The grounds were very beautiful for photos (although the weather was not very cooperative that day).

I had about 120 guests - and people are still saying it is one of (if not THE) best wedding they've been to! In the end it was worth all of the strife Fox Hollow put me through during the planning process lol...it was the most memorable night ever (and not just because I was the bride!)

HOTEL - We (and my guests) stayed next door at the Inn at Fox Hollow. PHENOMENAL property. Very elegant, beautiful, modern and sweet. Guests raved about their sleeping quarters!

DJ - My DJ was DJ Latif - [email protected]. I saw him at a wedding of a friend and people could not finish their dinner before getting on the dance floor. People were on the dance floor from the middle of dinner until 1 in the morning. And I got married on a Sunday night! He is a total pro who went with the flow.

FLORIST - I used Ava Flora http://avaflora.com. Lori is the owner of this boutique florist. She was a breeze to work with and super nice. She just 'got it.' If I said I wanted peonies in cantaloupe and roses in peach and blush - she knew exactly the shades I was talking about. She has a great eye for floral design, put together mock-ups for us, and delivered all of the florals at Fox Hollow EARLY.

PHOTOGRAPHER - My photographer was Corey from Talton Photos www.talton-photos.com/. He was super nice to work with, very professional; a great people person (so he was great interacting with our guests), and captured great shots. He was also very affordable.

VIDEO - I used Josh from Exo Photography - www.exophotography.com/?. They did a great job. Video takes awhile but it's worth it.

CAKE - Francesco's Bakery (Flowers done by my florist, Ava Flora) Gave them the design I wanted and they replicated it perfectly. The cake was moist and yummy! (came with my catering package)

DRESS: I went to VOWS in Watertown, MA. www.bridepower.com/? - They do the show 'I Found the Gown on TLC.' I got a Yardleigh from WToo (Watters). It was not a sample gown - they ordered it directly from Watters and I paid under $1,000.

GROOM: He got his shoes and suit from Men's Warehouse.

ACCESSORIES: Mostly from Etsy...
Birdcage Veil from Etsy: http://www.etsy.com/transaction/129645194?utm_source=transaction&utm_medium=trans_email&utm_campaign=shipping_notification

Vintage Hair Comb from Etsy: http://www.etsy.com/transaction/130728284?utm_source=transaction&utm_medium=trans_email&utm_campaign=shipping_notification

Sash/Belt from Etsy: http://www.etsy.com/transaction/129254241?utm_source=transaction&utm_medium=trans_email&utm_campaign=purchase_buyer

Note - EVERYTHING is negotiable. Every package, every vendor, every venue. Don't forget that! Be firm. :)
