Many of my vendors are either small, owner-operated companies or newbies to the wedding arena. I had very good experiences with the vendors below. If you're on a budget, you may want to look into them.


EA Events A+

Eleanor is the owner of EA Events. I found her through another bride on the LIWeddings boards. This is a new business for Eleanor but she’s got extensive experience working as a wedding/party planner and Day of Coordinator. Her communication from beginning to end was impeccable. I thought I was detail oriented by providing her with pages of “itinerary” and who’s who. Yet she still came back with some pertinent questions that I hadn’t even thought of. She was on the spot all day, tending to all. She was at my house by 9am…then went to the Church to hand out the boutonnieres, corsages and programs. After the ceremony she picked up our candles (etc) and ran to the venue ahead of us so she could make sure everything was arranged properly. She maintained communication with me weeks after the wedding. I really couldn’t have asked for more. Her rates are affordable enough for budget brides! EA Events is on Facebook.


Bonnie McKenna-Walsh - Smithtown /Commack A+

Bonnie came to my home and did my hair in a partial updo. She did my makeup as well. She’s a sweet girl and made my hair angelic-looking! (See album.)


Good Vibrations DJ – Northport A

Greg Legakis owns and operates Good Vibrations Entertainment. Greg is extremely helpful in lining up the kinds of music you want. He was very accessible and friendly whenever I needed to ask a question or get advice. I arranged the honeymoon and kept it a secret from my husband until the reception. Greg helped me to create the “reveal” with music, which was a lot of fun for everyone. Greg is pretty much up for anything you want. If you search for Good Vibrations Entertainment, you’ll see an extensive list of songs, ideas, options, and program ideas. His rates are affordable enough for budget brides!


P&M Photography – Holbrook A

Beautiful pictures at budget rates. Marcela McCaffrey owns and operates P&M Photography. Marcela is very talented and makes herself as unobtrusive was possible while taking pictures. Before the wedding date, I provided her with a list of “must have” pictures and she was diligent in getting them. She was also quick to deliver my proofs – within 4 weeks I had all 514 photos! I arranged to get only a DVD with all the pictures and 25 edited photos. Marcela will work with you and your budget. She was with me for 8 hours and her rates were wonderful. See my album.
Sunrise Harbour - East Patchogue C
The food at Sunset Harbour was delicious. In the months leading up to the wedding, all my interactions with the staff at SH were wonderful. Everyone was helpful and accommodating. The day of the wedding I was informed by my close friends that melted chocolate was both on the table and chair skirt and crushed M&Ms were on the floor. Out of 6 coffee cups brought to one table, 4 had lipstick on them. Cake was served earlier than the agreed time (an hour before the end) which caused my guests to think the party was over and they started leaving. The staff was removing linens and centerpieces from tables where guests were still sitting…50 minutes before the end…there was no mistake they were pushing us out the door. I also paid full price for my vendor’s meals, but they were only served the main course. I complained to the maitre d only to get a snarky response. Within the last 7 weeks, I have written to the CEO 2 letters (each with different issues) and never received so much as an acknowledgement or a phone call. I’m not even covering the full extent of the experience, but I think it’s enough to give an idea. I was very disappointed to say the least. I felt “taken” because I wasn’t asking for anything more than what I paid for and what one would reasonably expect at a wedding.


Angelisabella EBridalfavor – Atlanta, GA A+

If you’re looking for silk flowers, this is the place to buy them! There was a bouquet that FTD sold that I fell in love with but it was ridiculously priced. I sent a picture to Angela and she reproduced it in silk flowers at a fraction of the price. The base of the bouquet was wrapped in heavy satin ribbon and lots of bling! Angela and her staff also created sophisticated boutonnieres for my groomsmen; roses with a tiny bit of bling on the bottom, as well as 3 wrist corsages. When I realized 3 weeks before the wedding, I needed altar flowers, Angela came to the rescue again. I told her what I wanted and she designed the pieces. Then, she emailed pictures of them to me for my approval. I asked her to change out some flowers for another type and she welcomed my ideas. She managed to ship the two altar pieces approx. 3 feet wide and 3.5 feet tall, from Atlanta to Long Island. Postage was not a huge issue. They were beautiful. Find her on Facebook. See my album.
