Engagement Photo Tips?

Looks like I`ll kick things off on the board that caused so much controversey as it sat idle. Glad to see it's finally up and running and I can safely come here without the threat of any bickering matches. Yipee! Anyway, just wondering if anyone has any tips as we prepare for our engagement photos this week. I guess my biggest concern is what to wear! LOL!! Or I should say, what color to wear. Any tips would be greatly appreciated, and they don`t necessarily have to be regarding our clothes. Thanks! (The photos will be done in the studio).

Engagement Photo Tips?

Hi Kel! It depends on what kind of look and for what purpose you want the photo. Casual? Formal? Color? Black + White? Plain backdrop? Dark? Light? Patterned backdrop? To answer your question more simply; you probably want to match clothes together without clashing and you probably don't want the clothes to distract from your personalities interacting. My personal bent on this kind of picture would be to create a symbiotic 'aura' between the two of you and to explore the process of creating one soul from two individuals. Of course, you need to discuss all this with your photographer.
