Question for photographers....

..I`m planning a Fall 2002 wedding, and I`m going to start looking for bridemaids dresses (my dress will be ivory) My question is, can you really even tell the difference between white and ivory in pictures? Also, I was hoping to find a rich dark color for BM dresses - maybe brown, burnt orange, burgandy, etc. Would these come out too dark in the pictures? My friend chose burgandy for her BMs, and in the pictures, they look almost black, but I can`t tell if her photog didn`t develop the film correctly, or if that was normal. Thanks for the help!!

colors for dresses

IIt depends on the photographer, the film, the lighting and the lab (sorry!) Subtle differences in tones CAN be enhanced by all or any of these factors. Bottom line? If there is something that you like, go for it! And of course discuss your preferences with the photographer. I prefer to use films that bring out all the colors as vibrantly as possible. Make sure that your photographer understands what you need and prefer. And yes, ivory does look different than white (generally no matter what)
