Florist Question...

How would I go about picking the colors of my flowers for my wedding? I won't be having any bridesmaids or anything, they'll all be males. My little cousin is going to be my Man of Honor instead of having a Maid of Honor, so I'm just keeping it all males. I know that pretty much keeps it open to ideas, but shouldn't there be a theme or something??? Thanks!

Florist Question...

Okay Melissa, you really have cart blanche on your color scheme, there are the obvious thins like seasons, spring, soft to bright pastels, summer, to me summer = color :) and lots of it, fall, lends to those warm autumn tones and of course winter, well reds work :), anyway also take into consideration your surroundings, you reception facility, you may want to pick up on colors that are going on in your room, dont let your florist dictate to you too much, in otherwords what i tell my brides is that i am here to guide you, reccomend to you not to dictate what i feel you should have. All too often i see it when a florist doesnt really listen to the bride who ultimately should get what she wants and not what is convienient to the person providing her with her flowers. Bottom line get what YOU WANT nowadays 90% of all flowers are available all year round so look around and you`ll find it, i guarantee it. Truly, John

Florist Question...

Hi Melissa, Since you have your choice for colors, the things to consider for colors would be the time of year you are getting married. Spring pastels, summer, brights and bolds, jewel tones or rich autumn colors or winter theme. Something else I ask is do you have a favorite flower that you would like to be worked into your wedding and last, where are you having your wedding, you can follow that decor and/ or theme with colors to compliment. Example: seashells for a wedding by the ocean. Hope this helps you out
