Our Wedding!
6/21/05... The first day of summer - and 9 days that we have been married. We had the most incredible time at our wedding and thank EVERYONE who came out to celebrate with us. The day went better then I thought and enjoyed every bit of it. Following the wedding, we went back to the hotel, got into some comfy clothes and ate and drank some more after soaking my feet in the hot tub! :) Unfortunately, some hoodlums ransacked Joel's Uncle's bedroom and were caught in the act.... "You mean, this isn't Annie's room!?" Fortunately, they got it all cleaned up - but they forgot to reset the alarm clock - so they got a rude awakening the next morning ;) These same hoodlums managed to break into our room while we were relaxing downstairs and made a real mess of it. The worst part was hanging the shower curtain back up - what a PITA!
Fortunately, mother nature was with us from the start. The rehearsal dinner Saturday night at Marti and Jeb's house was great, Joel's cake turned out awesome and the day was nice and relaxing. The day after the wedding, we headed up to the Beach House in CT and hit a few sites and restaurants during the 4 days up there. We returned Friday afternoon so Joel and Chad could go to the Judas Priest concert.
From the time Joel proposed on Christmas eve until now has gone so fast. I'm ready to start celebrating all over again - I'm so glad David & Tamara and Scot & Stacey are getting married next month so we have something to look forward to!!!!
Come August 4, Joel and I will be residents of North Carolina. It's time for us to pick up and start fresh. Once my mother's co-op is sold, she will follow us down and we will look for a nice big house so everyone can come and visit!! I'll miss Long Island - our families, friends, plus the pizza, bagels and Chinese food! But there will always be time to come back and visit and again, for everyone to come visit us and see the sites in NC (don't forget about the great furniture deals too!!!)
Thank you all again - we look forward to providing more updates as time goes on. Love, Mr and Mrs Joel Goldman
