Our proposal story is not romantic in any way. Basically I got sick of talking around the subject. I mean, we knew were were going to be together for the rest of our lives. We didn't need all the pomp and circumstance. Just do it! LOL! So on this day, while shopping at the mall, we stopped at Littman jewelry store. I fell in love with a simple, solitare diamond ring and I just looked at him. I pointed and simply said "I love this one". He asked "Are you sure that's the one you want. You are stuck with it for life." I looked at it again and smiled. "That's the one." So he purchased it while I was looking in the window of another store and held in until later, when we were in the car. He took the ring box out of the bag, opened it, then loooked at me. I felt so awkward because neither of us are the mushy type. "So, will you..." "Yeah yeah, just give it to me." He breathes a sigh of relief and we both laugh. There was really no need to ask. He took the ring out of the box and put it on my finger. And before I could even stop staring at it, he was already on the phone with his brother telling him the news. |
