AWE...THEIR STORY BEGINS!

When? August 2000

Where? Pizza Hut of Hauppauge

Michael and Melissa met around the middle of August 2000. Melissa was working in Pizza Hut as a waitress and Michael came in wih Melissa's friend Steve. Steve is Michael's best friend from High School Pete's younger brother. Melissa thought he was the cutest guy she had ever seen and she told him she thought he looked like The Rock. He laughed and said no. She liked him all summer, but nothing happened until March 8, 2001.

Their friend Jonathan was driving them home and Melissa asked Michael to walk her to her door. He did and when he went to kiss her on the cheek goodbye, she grabbed his face and planted a HUGE kiss on him. Four days later, March 12th, they had thir first date at the Bluff in Kings Park and they have been together ever since.

We found out later in our relationship that we had come in contact a few times over the years and never even knew it! When Melissa was 16 and Michael was 20, she worked in the bagel store around the corner from both their houses. Michael and his friend Pete and Pete's brother Steve, the same Steve who introduced them, came in for breakfast one morning. Melissa gave Steve and Pete free bagels and drinks because she knew Steve, but made Michael pay because she didn't know him! When Melissa was 17, and Michael was 21, she worked at Blockbusters and Michael would come in and rent movies from her...little did he know that 6 years later he would be marrying that same girl!
