Melissa was feeling sick all week and Michael had been extra nice to her. Michael picked her up after work and they just started driving. They drove all over and finally Melissa realized they were almost in Quogue. Quogue is a town near the Hamptons that Michael took Melissa to when they first started dating. Melissa and Michael both like driving slowly down Dune Road and looking at the HUGE houses that line the street. When they got to a side street Michael pulled in and parked. They got out and started walking on the beach. It was night and there was NO MOON. It was very dark, but the stars were amazing! They walked almost to the water. Melissa got scared and wanted to go back to the car but Michael wanted to stay. Melissa started to walk to the car anyway and Michael calls out, "I wanted this to be romantic." Melissa says, "It is..." Michael then said, "I love you..." so Melissa walked back over to him and hugged him and said, "I love you too." Then Michael pulled out a small wooden box and got down on one knee. Then Michael said, "I love you, will you marry me?" Melissa was speechless for maybe the first time in her life and then answered "Are you serious?!?! OH MY GOD!!! YES!!!" She couldn't see the ring because it was so dark so Michael tried lighting his lighter so she could see it, but Melissa ran to the car and threw open the door and BAM there it was. It was the most beautiful ring she had ever seen!
