Where? NYPD Police Academy

One day, while riding on the "E" train from Queens to Manhattan, Sebastian approached me asking where I lived. After a few minutes, we realized we only lived about 5 minutes from each other. Our coversation continued to the "6" train and into the Academy. Sebastian had told me about how he'd drive in the the last stop on the "E" train in Queens and asked if I wanted to meet up after the Academy let out and he'd give me a ride home. I "forgot" meet him that day, but we did meet up the next day and we started "car pooling" (though I never drov--didn't have a car) everyday. Car pooling led to having lunch together, led to hanging out outside of the Academy, to a fabulous friendship that grew into a beautiful relationship.

Sebastian will tell you, he knew he was in love with me the day I held his french fries for him. Occassionally we'd stop at Nathan's on Queens Blvd (Kew Gardens) on our way into the Academy. One day I held his french fries in a way that he was able to eat them while he drove. The first time we said "I Love You", it was initiated by Sebastian. He walked into the room and said "Jill, I love you." my response was "Are you serious?" He said yes, a bit confused and irritated at my response. I then said "I love you too". I was hesitant to say it (though I whole heartedly felt the same) due to having been hurt in past relationships.

On May 31, 2001, two days after our Academy graduation, Sebastian asked me to be is girlfriend. This is the day we became an "official" couple! Our relationship has definately had it's ups and downs, but we have endured. I believe our love has grown much stronger in the past 4+ years, and will only continue to grow.
