Three Diner's

When? September 15th 2002

Where? New York Renaissance Faire

We actaully met 9/7/02 at the New York State Renaissance Faire in Tuexo. Tuexo is in up State NY and I live on Long Island. Its about a two hour drive to there. The Ren Faire, is an event that happens about 6-7 weeks every summer, starting in August and ending in September. There are actors playing Robinhood and his Merry Men, the Sherif of Noddingham and many more acting as peasents in this wonderful little world. Their as also venders galour! Almost anything you can think of Medieval they have it. Wooden drinking mugs, they have it! Garb, take your pick! Puppets, books, paintings, jewuraly, you name it, its there.

When I first met Joe, we barely said more than two words to each other. I was visiting and Joe worked for Ruths Royal Rags, one of the vendors. I had such a great time and met such wonderful people that I had to return. A week later 9/15/02 I returned and I just hung out with the people from Ruths Royal Rags. I just couldn't find myself able to part from them. I was invited to have dinner with them all after the fair was over but my ride had to leave early. So Joe offered me a ride home, he lived in the same area of Long Island as I did. I asked Lady Ruth herself, if he was someone I could trust him. She assured me he was safe and in all honestly something made me feel very safe about Joe. When dinner was done and we said our good byes Joe and I left. The ride is usually two hours with traffic, this was after mid night and it took us three hours to find our way home. LOL We both didn't mind. We were talking and laughing the whole time. Joe seemed almost dashing in some odd way. We found we had a lot in common, we liked the same music, type of clothing, we both love history and roll playing. We couldn't believe the ride was only two hours!

When we got to my car, (which was at my friends house) Joe offered to take me out for coffee so we could still keep on with our conversation. We went to three 24 hour diners and all of them were closed, so I suggested we just go to my place (my parents house) for coffee. We spent a good two hours it must have been talking. We went though so two pots of coffee. We kept talking about pratically everything and watched the sun come up from my kitchen window. We spent that whole day together. We both fell asleep on the livingroom couch watching TV. Joes snoring woke me up. He was sooooo loud, he scared my cat. LOL I remember thinking to myself "Thank goodness I don't have to hear that for the rest of my life!" I met his parents that day and his sister Terry. I was introduced as a friend and that what I considered him as well at the time. After that day, we called each other nonstop. We spent a fortune on gas to meet up with each other. We never really dated, we were just best friends who fell in love. Thats the best way I can discribe it to you.
