~ Tying The Knot ~
"Today, our Bride and Groom have chosen to "Tie the Knot" to symbolize the two of them joining together as one. They will be making the "true lovers knot" which is the strongest there is; it will not break, and will only become stronger when under pressure. The rope itself will break before the knot comes undone.
May we now have the cords?
Cords are brought forward
These two cords represent your past, your own individual and separate lives before today. Please begin making your first turns remembering the roads you have traveled to get to this day, and all the people who have a lifetime of emotional investment in you and your happiness... all the people that are also joined by your union.
Couple begin and continue crafting their knot as the officiant continues
As you intertwine your pieces, you are joining your two lives into one, representing the present. The finished knot symbolizes your future, and how your love and marriage will continue to be strong despite any trials life may throw your way."
