Phantom of the Opera Themed Wedding
I don't know why this thought never popped into my head before....But I'm going to do a Phantom of the Opera themed wedding.
Some ideas I've come up with so far...
*The Monkey Music Box holds 'the rings'
*Brides maids will each hold a single red rose with a black ribbon tied around it w/ pin or charm.
*First dance is to All I Ask of You
*Entrance to the theme.
*Phantom cake topper.
*Flower petals & lots of candles on the tables.
*I can walk down the aisle to the instrumental of Music of the Night....
This is just some off the top of my head stuff.

Cake topper from www.musicalheaven.com
I found that too but it's too heavy for the cake.. but I did find a grea Phantom christmas ornament that can be used as a cake topper!
I was also thinking of having red roses (not real ones) on the cake with rhinestone music notes.. and either place the ornament or the mask on the top. the mask would have out names & the date on it

Re: Phantom of the Opera Themed Wedding
phantom is my favorite play EVER- for the bridal party entrance, have the groomsmen come out with the phantom masks on. It will definitely create a stir
- have it be a very formal affair - guys wearing tails
- candles EVERYWHERE. the more the better - but keep in mind, real candles emit ALOT of heat. So if you can use battery operated lanterns and tea lights do. candelabras are very phantom
- you can name the tables after characters in the play
- keep your colors pitch black, pure white and blood red. sounds to dark but its very rich and fits it perfectly! shock and awe!!! black table overlays, red napkins, white table clothes or reverse the black and white for a less dramatic look
- make sure the roses are black magic or american beauty. they have to be large and vivid. (I'd do the black satin ribbon and a charm)
- keep the text on invites, etc very ornate and script. dramatic!!

I would do the cake in pure white very clean (fondant if possible), red roses on the top and fondant/real petals cascading (falling) down the side. I wouldnt do the music notes but I LOVE the mask with your names on it.

Re: Phantom of the Opera Themed Wedding
Some random ideas off the top of my head. The masquerade masks would be a good idea for the reception as well as for favors. Peacock/white feathers and jewels can be used for the centerpieces/bouquet, as well as some confetti sprinkled on the tables creates a grand entrance to your wedding. The lighting will be very important to produce the theatrical effect for your theme. You can use projector of a stenciled image (Phantom Mask, rose, etc.) with gel lights for your dancing floor. That will really be an eye catcher for your guests since monograms is the trend right now. Search on Ebay, vintage/thrift shops, or halloween costume stores for hard to find items and special touches to your wedding. I would suggest a beautiful ball gown. It doesn't have to be white, a light shade of pink or a rich color goes with the theme. You can play around with the colors since most of the wardrobe in the play is theatrical pieces. My husband recently got me a custom-made jewelry box that plays the song Masquerade from: www.musicboxattic.com as a X-mas gift. I loved it so much! Every time I open the box to put my earrings and rings, it winds and plays the song.I love your wedding theme, it's very original and fun. Hope you have a great time planning your wedding and best of luck!
