NWQOTD 2.9.11
Happy Hump Day LadiesHere is today's Question
What is something silly that you believed as a kid?
I believed that if you or any of your toys stayed in the bathtub while the water was going down you would be s u c k e d down. Same thing if you were unsupervised and you went in the pool the pool could some how flush and you would be gone so always have an adult there.
Another one is like a family tradition, we stop at my very old aunt Mary's on Halloween and Christmas and she has a giant grate in her floor I think it is for the heat. Anyway when the kids are young in my family the adults tell the kids that there is a which that lives down there and I we are not good she will come up and get us (probably because when your a kid Aunt Mary's house is really boring)THEN someone goes down to the basement and bangs around to scare the SH!T out of you and you believe them!. Nice family I have

I used to believe that when a song came on the radio the actual group/singer was there singing it. I also believed that if you swallowed a seed from like an apple that an apple will grow in your stomach.

my mom told us this!!....followed by the line 'i know someone that died from it'
....as me and my sis got older, we realized she knew a lot of dead friends. hahahaha

I used to believe that if you didn't get up and go to school when your mom told you to - the police would drag you to school naked (Yes, I have an older brother!
)I used to think that if I fell asleep on my back, with my arms out to the sides (like dead people looked on TV), then when my Mom would check on us a night, she'd think I was dead.
I used to believe that you couldn't walk on the grass at church with out asking God's permission first...I mean, after all, it was his 'house'...

For those of you old enough to remember the Magic Garden with Carole & Paula and Mr. Rogers neighborhood......I used to think that they used to take place in the basement of the Lutheran Church near my house.
Everytime my mom drove by the church I would look out the window of our car and think to myself that one day I could be on the show with them.

For a long time I thought dogs gave birth through their butts....I guess I just didnt see where else a puppy could come out of lolAlso, I believed (up until 2 years ago) that my favorite uncles hair was real. Well...apparently he has been wearing a hairpiece my entire life and I never even knew!

When I was really young, like 3-4 years old I thought a family of bears lived behind my wall in a cave.
(I was very imaginative)
