Kyle is an amazing instructor who makes you feel comfortable dancing. Our guests were impressed how amazing our first dance was. What we paid was priceless when you factor in the memories we will always cherish. I highly recommend 10 lesson package and that you start wearing the shoes you will be dancing in as soon as possible. I want to preface this review with the fact that I hate having to do research for wedding "stuff." I'm a typical groom I guess and just wanted my bride to tell me how much it costs and where I need to be. I knew however, that I wanted dance lessons so we wouldn't look like we're dancing at prom. She found a place that was highly reviewed and close by so we went for our introductory lesson. The place itself is fairly large with a huge dance floor with mirrors on three sides of the room so you can see how you are doing. Kyle quickly showed us a basic waltz which already was better than we could have hoped for. My wife and I have decent rhythm but the main problem was the fact that I didn't know how to properly "lead" when dancing. He showed me how to lead and a general idea of what our dance would be like in our first lesson. It seemed easy enough. It's what he called the "basics." We did that for the rest of the lesson which made the hour fly by. Once we were done we decided the 10 lesson package was the best deal for us and in the end was worth the memories. The 10 lesson package looks like it might be expensive but when you compare it to the rest of the wedding expenses it's actually the best bargain. Kyle is also very flexible with scheduling which was a huge plus. Ten lessons were also necessary because we were advised to not practice on our own till maybe after the sixth lesson because if you practice something wrong Kyle has to correct all your mistakes at the next lesson. This was fine because I needed the time to relearn some of the steps due to my forgetfulness. It's important to note that Kyle teaches you to dance and will not teach you a routine. I say this because what did we do when we started to practice on our own? We practiced a routine! He knew it when we showed up for the next lesson which was maybe lesson 8 or 9 because when we messed up we started blaming each other. Once he "fixed" us he made us dance for one of his group lessons to make sure there was no stage fright or any issues. We practiced twice during the cocktail hour because my wife was afraid that her dress would prevent her from dancing well. Those practice sessions were just ok. I felt we were a little rough but one of our photographer's assistants said it was the best first dance she'd seen. We were both nervous as **** before the dance because obviously there was a huge crowd and the uncertainty because of her dress. I remembered what Kyle had taught us which was essentially to "have fun and dance!" We didn't do a routine but managed to do everything he taught us with the exception of one lift. Our guests were constantly clapping with some

So this is a long overdue review! My wife and I were married in November 2016, and we were both anxious/about figuring out our first dance and how to get ready for it. Dance Reverie was amazing for us, from the very first lesson that we took, to the final class just three days before the big day!Kary was incredible in working with the song we really wanted to dance to, understanding and analyzing our dancing ability as a couple and individually, and was brilliant in helping us nail down the essential basics, before slowly introducing us to more and more complex moves. Even in some moments when I was frustrated, Kary was really patient helped also in getting into the right mindset for the first dance! We took five lessons in the course of about a month, with one of them being a double session (2 hours). Don't let the Forest Hills location discourage you from coming - you'll be glad that you came and learned how to dance (better)!

My husband and I had a great experience with Dance Reverie, Long island. Since I was a teenager, my dream was to dance the tango with someone special to me, with such passion, like All Pacino in “The scent of woman”. Learning the tango became a new experience and an exciting journey for us, revealing a new sensual side in our relationship! Kyle was very attentive and helped us from the very beginning steps into a great wedding dance. All it took is 8 lessons and we could dance the tango!!!! Kyle is a professional with years of experience and practice in how to teach people with 2 left feet (smiley) He takes an individual approach to different people with different dance skills, as we had a chance to witness when watching other couples prepare for their first dance, just as we did. And he could find the way to teach my absolutely unable to dance husband. Dance Reverie delivered more than then we payed! Kyle made us into real dancers for our Wedding Day! Our wedding tango was a big hit and became the talk of the night; our guests wanted us to dance it twice! We had a lot of fun, an unforgettable learning experience, and an amazing first dance. Thank you Dance Reverie studio and Kyle!

We first encountered Dance Reverie's Kari and Kyle at a bridal show, and they were graceful, professional, and most importantly, personable. Never did we feel intimidated. We wanted a wow factor at our wedding, and have also always wanted to take a dance course together, so this was the perfect opportunity to do so! ? About Kyle: Every lesson was fun and built upon each previous lesson. It never felt like "class" -- we always looked forward to each time we met up. Kyle was our instructor, and he was patient yet firm. He is proactive in his method of teaching, and we appreciated that; also very accommodating to each and every couple. For example, we can tell he was always busy fitting his couples in throughout the day, and making time for each couple to have a full hour and sometimes even more. ? Two Locations: a huge plus to us. Forest Hills location is always convenient, while Mineola location is brightly lit, and always has ample parking. ? The Dance: Kyle taught us some dance moves, and creatively associated the dance moves to BJJ moves and other everyday-moves, so that it would be easier for muscle memory. With his help, we linked the moves together to fit our song perfectly, from the lows to the highs of the song. ? The Big Day: We had so much fun with this elaborate dance, as we are not ballroom dancers at all, of any sort. Did I mention? Kyle made it a point to come see us. He scheduled his day so that he was able to stop by our venue. Seeing him calmed my nerves, and I am sure any future bride will appreciate seeing a friendly face when a million other thoughts are going through your head! Our family and friends were impressed, and through the loud music and tears behind my eyes, I could hear our friends cheering from the sides of the dance floor with every dip, lift, and twirl! ? All in all, I highly recommend Dance Reverie for their teaching methods, for their instructors, and for their friendliness. If I were to go out and pay money for wedding dance lessons, it would have to be to Kyle of DR. Thank you to Kyle for making our first dance unforgettable!

We choose Dance Reverie studio as one of highly reviewed and didn’t mistake, location in Long Island. there is Dance Reverie studio in Forest Hills, Queens, also. Both have easily accessible location, nice decorations and are great one to dance in with its friendly atmosphere! Fist we were impressed by – studio in Long Island is wedding stylized, that’s awesome, and impressed us!! but real impressions we’ve got at Dance Reverie hall – the huge spacious studio with mirrors all around. Kyle helped us to choose the song for our first dance.we couldn't take a decision, not talking about our 'dancing' talents, you know what I mean)) first I felt myself like some immovable doll. it became not an easy thing to get with. Thanks to Kyle, he helped to come with all this difficulties. He became a good friend to us.we asked him to come to our Wedding party. The dance became amazing! I felt like a queen on my own ball! Friends and relatives shouted and applauded. our wedding dance was the first step to our dance life))) and now we are Dance Reverie frequenters, learned other styles of ballroom and social dances! very proud of))now our every Friday eve is scheduled with social parties in Dance Reverie!we practice there all dances we’ve learned! Our best recommendations to Dance Reverie! you’ll get there full dance package and good friends!
