We wanted to wow our guests with a swing dance, something both me and my husband wanted to learn for a long time. He was more hesitant to lead and I couldn't stop leading, and occasionally yelling. But Dance Reverie really made us love to dance, taught us structure and helped us create a dance that was unique, fun, and made our guests ooh and aah for hours. And we're still dancing: at the park, in the grocery store and at home. Kari was amazing, fun and super helpful, making sure to listen to our concerns and bring them into the lessons and ultimately the dance. We can't wait to keep doing lessons with Kari, even after the wedding (that's how much we loved it!) I would 100% recommend this place for anyone in the New York area.

100% recommend this place. We had our dance last night and peoples jaws dropped. We had SO MUCH fun throughout the learning process and learned so much. Kyle is the best teacher around! I will be so happy if you come here. He prepared us so well and even helped us find the perfect song! We’re heading back now that the weddings over for date nights and to learn other types of dance

I cannot say enough good things about taking dance lessons with Kari. My fiance and I wanted to learn a few moves to make us look good and so we didn't just sway back and forth the whole time. In just one lesson, Kari had us dancing better than we ever thought we could and we had so much fun with it. We took 3 more lessons and enjoyed all of them. Kari worked with our song and taught us several dance movements so we could look great without having something too structured or choreographed. On our wedding day, everyone was blown away with our first dance and we had a blast doing it. Thank you so much, Kari!!

Kyle is great. We had 7 lessons and our dance was amazing. Everyone was so impressed! We had so much fun at lessons and we are so pleased with how our dance came out!

We are what you might say a "more mature" pair of newlyweds than the usual, however we wanted to try to entertain our wedding guests with a "gift" for sharing that day with us. We did not want the usual "shuffle around" and Kari suggested an Argentine Tango - a terrifying thought at the time!! My husband was a far more experienced dancer than I. OK, he could dance and I did not think I could at all. Boy was I wrong! Kari was so patient with us and in less than 2 months there we were - 'wow'ing our friends and family with something they had no idea we were capable of. The applause and cheers were validation that we were prepped by someone as exceptional as Kari. I would strongly recommend Dance Reverie to anyone who wants to learn dance in a relaxed and nurturing setting. We will be back as we both have the discovered the joy of dance! Thank you again Kari!!!!
