I REALLY don't know what to get my MOH!

I REALLY don't know what to get my MOH!

I picked out this really nice necklace/bracelet set..(Well, I really liked it!

) and asked my FMILs opinion (FSIL is my MOH) and she says 'oh, she won't like that at all'

Ok, I kind of expected that, although it did hurt my feelings a little... (If I wasn't so broke I would have kept it for myself!!!) But I REALLY don't know what to get this girl!!! She is not a 'girly-girl'. She won't wear jewelry, won't dress up, never wears make-up, refuses manicures/pedicures. .. NOTHING even remotely feminine!

I need some help girls!!! I really don't want to get her a gift certificate... she is going to be my SIL, I want to get her something really nice and meaningful.

Nothing, except she's very 'outdoors-y' but not athletic and no specific interests really...

She's kind of into geology but I really didn't want to go get her a rock!

Mabey you could pay for an adult ed course at a local school for geology. Night classes at a high school are usually pretty cheap.

Is she into writing in a journal?

You could get a really nice leather bound journal and have it engraved.

I got my MOH diamond earrings. Earrings are never overly girly and I find that most girls love them.

Nope, she won't wear jewelry at ALL. She also has a degree in earth sciences... but thank you for the suggestions, girls. I still haven't come up with anything.

how about tickets to the rose center for earth science at the hayden planetarium in NYC (museum of natural history) and tickets to a play for the evening...the museum should be pretty inexpensive and something you know she'll enjoy, and you can get tickets for her to a show like Proof - something more cerebral than a musical...
