QOTD 11/11/13

Good morning, everyone! For my first QOTD.....
Give everyone your 'something old, something new, something borrowed, and something blue.'
My something old: a bracelet that my mothers uncle gave to her for her 16th birthday
Something new: my gown (Ines di Santo, Bridal Reflections.....luv it!!)
Something borrowed: my good friend Angela's cathedral length veil, which she purchased for her weddding last October (an amazing something borrowed - not to mention, an amazing financial savings for us - thanks Ang!)
Something blue: still undecided. Maybe you all will give me some good ideas. Possibly blue shoes, or blue toe nail polish. Maybe garter? Eh, I really have no clue yet...

QOTD 11/11/13 - Long Island Weddings

Something Old: The other day my mom gave me the lace clutch that she used in her wedding. It has a blessed cross pinned onto it from my Grandma and I can't remember what it is but there's also something in there from my Nana.

Something New: My dress

Something Borrowed: Not sure yet, I'll probably borrow a bracelet from my mom.

Something Blue: I have a NY Giants Garter

QOTD 11/11/13 - Long Island Weddings

Something Old: My great grandmother's cameo pin given to me by my grandmother. My grandmother and mother both wore it on their wedding days. I am pinning it to my bouquet.

Something New: My dress, shoes, veil, headpiece.

Something Borrowed: A small pin of the Blessed Mother I will pin on the inside of the neckline of my dress. From my grandmother.

Something Blue: My garter, it has a sapphire colored jewel in the middle.

My soemthing old and something borrowed will probably be something from my grandmothers.. I have my fathers mothers jewelry and my mom has her mothers jewelry.. My something new is my dress and my somehting blue is my Rangers Garter set :)

Something old: My FMIL sewed my FH's bonnet from his christening into a handkerchief, and it is some irish tradition that the bride he marries is given the handkerchief on the wedding day. So I will be sewing that into my dress.

Something borrowed: my grandma's (my mother's mom) cameo pin. We found it in a box after she passed away in 2008, and when my sister got married last year I thought it would be a good idea to give it to her to pin onto her bouquet. She then gave it to my cousin 2 months ago for her bouquet, and my cousin will be giving it to me for mine. It is a cute little tradition we started, and I can't wait to hand it off to another family member one day (hopefully soon if my cousin finally gets engaged!)

Something blue: manolo hangisi jewel satin flats in blue :)

Something new: my dress pronovias uceda from the pronovias salon in manhattan! Can't wait to see it again in a few months

Something old: My day of jewelry all the women in my family as a tradition wear this drop pearl necklace I will be wearing that a pearl bracelet my mother made me along with the earings that match the necklace.

something new my dress

Something borrowed: I am wearing my sisters wedding shoes.

Something blue: undecided yet.

So far I only have two in mind: something blue. I was going to have a small blue set of Rosary beads attached to my bouquet somehow. And something new.....my dress! Which was bought in early September.

something old: I think one of my old purses to put my cell and whatever in for the day

something borrowed: not sure yet though my hair girl she's putting diamond pins in my hair so maybe that can be something borrowed?
something blue: think I'll do my toes baby blue
