Breakfast/Brunch on the day after the Wedding

Piggybacking on this:

For anybody who is doing a morning-after brunch-type event: how are you working it?

FH and I would really like to do this, but can't afford to pay for yet another event. Can we invite people to meet us for brunch, but let everyone know they are responsible to pay for their own meal? If so, HOW do we say that tactfully?

Breakfast/Brunch on the day after the Wedding

Our hotel provides a continental breakfast so rather than paying for an official breakfast/brunch which was expensive, we figure we will write a little note in our welcome letter for our OOT guests to meet us down for breakfast at X time. This is a nice way to just coordinate seeing our OOT guests before we head off for our honeymoon without having to pay!

Breakfast/Brunch on the day after the Wedding

Our hotel doesn't provide continental breakfast, and they offered us the option to pay a certain amount per person to host a breakfast the next day, but my FH and I decided against it. I really don't feel like waking up the next morning, getting dressed up again, and having to entertain everyone again! I plan on hanging out in the hotel bar after my wedding until 2-3am if I can make it that long so I'm definitely not waking up at 8am to host a breakfast!

Breakfast/Brunch on the day after the Wedding

We're likely going to arrange for a brunch in the private room at the Viana. It's not cheap, but I feel like it's a nice touch.

I really wish they did a complimentary breakfast though!

LOL I was wondering if that was possible. Hey can do me a huge favor and FM room rates and what the next day breakfast rate pp was? 8AM is ridiculous....maybe I'd shoot for 10, we'll see!

Which hotel are you staying at? I know WM gives a free room at Garden City Hilton I believe? Is that it?
