Where did everyone buy their shoes? I bought a pair at Saks Off Fifth only to realize they didn`t match my dress. Now I have another to-do on my list. Any ideas?

Hi all - just wanted to share with you an experience that I had with Craft shoes - I would NEVER want this to happen to anyone else. I went looking for my wedding shoes there last July. I needed to get my shoes before ordering my dress because there is so much beadwork on the bottom of the dress that it can't be hemmed. So, they had to do a hollow to hem measurement so that it could be made to the correct height. So, in order to do this, I had to have the shoes I would wear for the wedding for the measurement. Well, I went to Craft shoes and they had the shoe I wanted - only problem was that they only had it in the crepe satin rather than the shiny satin. I wanted the shiny satin. So, after hemming and hawing over it the salewoman told me that they could order the shiny sating shoe for me, but I could buy the crepe satin for now to do my dress fitting. They PROMISED me that they would get me my shiny satin shoe in a few weeks. When the shoe didn't come in in a few weeks we called them and they said, 'Oh - we can't get that shoe for you.' (Of course - no one bothered to call us to tell us) We threw a fit and the guy on the phone said that the manager would call me back tomorrow. When the manager finally called back he said that he could get the shoe, but he couldn't get it until October. Well, that was fine with us. We were ordering plenty early. By the end of October we still didnt have the shoe. So, we called them back again. After getting another run around the manager finally gave us some story about not being able to get the shoe now because the factory burned down. Again, another run around and NO ONE bothered to call us to tell us. So, I had a dress that was hemmed to that shoe and now I was in trouble because I had no way to get the shoe. Well, I guess it's my own fault for having trusted them. My advice to all who are out there - DON'T TRUST THEM if they give you a story like they gave me. If they have the shoe you want in stock, fine. But don't trust them to order it for you. - Kim P.S. - After looking in MANY shoe stores I finally found the shoe I needed in a tiny little store in another state! Thankfully, I'm okay - but like I said above, I would not want this to happen to someone else!!!

Kim, Im sorry that you had such a problem with Craft Shoes. I have used them many times for different dyeable shoes and they have been great! Im glad to hear that you finally did get your shoes. Good Luck Lisa
