Flower color to go with Royal Blue dresses?

Hi,

I'm planning on having Royal Blue bridesmaid dresses.

I don't know what color flower scheme to go for! I was thinking of going for the red roses -- but then realized it would turn into red, white and blue.. and I'm not into that at all. Pink would be pink and blue and if anybody asks me when the baby is coming, I might hurt them. =)

Color ideas? If anyone has any pictures too, that would be great.

Just a suggestion, how about bright yellow roses. I always like blue and yellow together.

I'm thinking of having navy blue dresses. When I did a search for bridesmaid flowers to go with this color a while back, some of the suggestions were:

White
Red
Yellow

Red does run the risk of the whole red, white and blue thing. I personally think yellow is very pretty with blue!

I think that deep purple would be nice with the blue. You could also do yellow. I keep clipping pictures of any flowers that I like. Keep looking through magazines. I've gotten some good ideas.

I like the yellow wuth blue...more than the purple. Maybe a hot pink or fuschia (as someone else suggested) would be nice too.

I wouldn't go with light/pastel colored flowers since royal blue is such a bold color - JMO though.

I think Yellow and blue is beautiful together, but so are many other colors. Check out this website! I found lots of pretty bouquets for you to get ideas. And here were a few that I like!

for you to carry, but there is a darker color of the delphinium that would look nicer with your navy dresses.

I was a BM in my friend's wedding in October and we also wore blue dresses, though they were navy blue. Our bouquets had lots of orange flowers with some yellow, to go with a fall theme and the whole ensemble was gorgeous! I see that you're also getting married in October so you can have fall colors in the flowers that would look very nice with the royal blue dresses.

for your oct wedding, i think yellows and oranges, maybe even burnt orange colors would look great!

I was first going to say yellow...but then some of those pics that Jar posted are really pretty...I like the white roses with the blue flowers on the side...

Believe it or not, blue and orange are amazing together. Technically they are complimentary colors which means when they are placed next to each other, each color is enhanced.

I always thought if I had blue BM dresses, I would have gone with a blue & orange color scheme.

I think blues and purples might be a little too 'dark', not cheery enough.

Blue with fuschia is also gorgeous!
