If you live in Huntington, then your lucky to have The Crushed Olive near by. Great selection of cheeses and extra virgin olive oils. They also have a nice variety of different crackers. The staff is extremely helpful in making different recommendations depending on what I'm in the mood for. I love this place, I only wish I lived a little closer to you. The original Crushed Olive is in Manhattan , So whether your in the city or Long Island, Enjoy

One of my favorite places to explore! This shop is located in the heart of Huntington Village. Their philosophy is simple. They sell the very best olive oils and vinegars from around the world. However, the coolest aspect about shopping at The Crushed Olive is the tasting concept. All the products are on display with little cups and cubed bread next to them. You can sample everything! And the staff wants you to! They don't follow you around, or watch how much you're taking, or stand behind you ready to pounce when you go MMMMmmmmmm! They just let you be. And they know their stuff. They also have a pairing pamphlet that guides you into making better choices. (Wish I had that handy information before I used an orange infused oil in my pea soup) Woohoo! As good as it gets!

As far as specialty/gourmet food shops go, this is one of the best, and definitely the best around. Unreal variety of creative and delicious vinegars and olive oils all of which you can sample gratis. There are too many to count or recall but a few of my favorites were the Fig Balsamic and Dark Chocolate Balsamic Vinegars. As far as Olive Oils, I loved the Organic Basil EVOO, and Tuscan Herb EVOO. PS: Ideal Cheese Shop is in the back...that fact alone is worth a pop-in!

Beautiful and unique, one of a kind store. The oils are imported from Italy. Tasting is complimentary. Owner was there on day I visited and his passion for his shop is inspiring. Balsamic strawberry is a must to try!

I have been a fan of this place for more than a couple of years. The store it self is Very clean, and has so many choices. They recently added local cheese section all the way back. I thought it was little too expensive so could not afford, but all cheese looked yummy. I do not need to say about their olive oils and vinegars. It is just fun and perfect. And most importantly, the workers there are always welcoming, and do their job quickly. And at the register, they ask you if purchase is for gift, and they wrap it with cute ribbons and papers. They are always so good. Make me feel special. Overall, yes I recommend this place to anyone! To even who is not a big fan of olive oils, I am 100% sure she become a fan.
