The EASY & CHEAP way to make a photo cube! (w/pics)
It literally took me twenty minutes in total ladies!
Thanks to all those who have posted directions in the past as well as pictures, but I stink with a hammer/screwdriver/and tools for that matter.
So....I went the "easy" way....
Supplies:
- Four thin wooden frames (size 8.5x11) from ebay (4.00)
- Batting from Michael's (1.99)
- Leftover white stain material from the Rag Shop (.49)
- Glue gun & glue sticks (already had it)
- small plastic hooks w/double sided tape (2.99)
- large piece of foamboard from Michael's (5.99)
- exacto knife (already had it)
- scissors (already had it)
- ruler (already had it)
Instructions:
1. Put pictures into the frames
2. W/the glue gun, glue all frames together
3. stick four of the plastic hooks to the very bottom of the cube formed w/the frames - this will keep the inside bottom foamboard from falling through the bottom
4. Cut to size the foamboard using the exacto knife and a ruler to form a base for the cube and slip inside the cube.
5. Stick four more of the plastic hooks to the top of cube formed w/the frames - this will keep the inside top foamboard from falling through.
6. Cut to size the foamboard using the exacto knife and a ruler to form the top cover of the cube.
7. Cut a diagnoal slit across the top foamboard you've just made - this will be the slot where people will put their cards into the box.
8. Cover the foamboard with the batting and material using the glue gun and remember to pull any excess to the bottom and again making a diagnoal slit across the top.
9. Place the top foamboard to form the box!
10. Presto!!!!

wow Christine you put mine to shame! Just be careful with the hot glue. I used glue and mine fell apart.. i have to fix it now.. my frames might be heavier than yours though.
