Attention Girls! I got my video and it's AMAZING! Clip Included! Advice for the Future Brides!

I am very excited to tell you that I received my video this past weekend. Two months before my wedding, my original video guy was unable to do the job. So I went on the hunt for a new videographer. Adam at Pennylane Productions had the date available and my mom and I visited him. The samples were amazing and really blew me away. I booked him immediately without Frank ever seeing his stuff (he was SO done with wedding planning at that point).

Adam has been the best over the last few weeks. He’s made me feel like part of the editing process and consulted me on musical choices, sequencing and the overall feel of what I wanted. I got great news last Thursday that it would be done for the weekend and he quickly shipped it to me so I could play it for my friends on Saturday night.

I have watched this video a few times and I am still tearing up about it – it’s breathtaking! Adam and his videographer captured my day in such a wonderful way. It is edited so well and really rings true to the wonderful wedding that we had on March 25! He also designed the cutest box for it that shows us as movie stars!!! Overall, Pennylane did an absolutely top-notch job…I am so pleased!!!

I want to touch upon one little thing – and it would probably be best linked to the 07 and 08 boards… In this day and age, I really suggest to everyone to think about getting a video. After all the money we spent, I see my video as an investment , rather than a “wedding expense.” We had short interviews with our closest family and we see so many friends dancing, laughing, and having a great time. I know for certain that someday I will look back at this video with fondness.

We can hear my husband’s uncle singing “That’s Amore” to us during the cake cutting and also our friend after getting engaged immediately before our wedding – signing Con Te Partito to us and his new fiancé. I can see the joy in my Mother-In-Law’s face that I have joined her family. When I watch myself dance with my father, I can feel the same emotions, look into my face and remember so vividly what that felt like, how proud and how happy I was to be his daughter. When I watch my mom and dad dance, I can see them share a secret – what did they say? I am not sure, but they were smiling and they looked so proud. They shared lovely comments to us in their interview and it means so much to have that. Frank and I also did a short interview and I love hearing the happiness in our voices! I can remember the tears of our first dance and the pride I had in being his wife in those first few hours.

My video is a work of art and I urge you to consider getting a video. I was worried that I would look like a whale or I would make stupid faces or I would ham it up too much (well, I did ham it up, but that’s another story!)…But I wouldn’t trade this for the world. The video shows so much more than photos ever can.

Lisa!! I totally agree with you an all points about getting a video! The photos are wonderful to look at, but I can't wait to see our video- and be able to relive the day!
I can't have sound on my computer at work, but I can't wait to watch your clip when I get home - I'm sure its amazing!!

Lisa, as I said to you when I first saw the highlight, AMAZING!!! I was lucky enough to be at the ceremony & witness many of the 'new' beginnings that took place! Your video bring a tear to my eye!!!

I have to agree with the video comments! It might seem like an 'expense' at first, but it is truly an investment! I have watched mine 30 times (only married 3 1/2mnts) but everytime I see it, I relive the emotions of the day!!

The video is beautiful- and your right. At first we did not want a video but the photographer said, 'look at it as an investment, don't you wish you had a video from your grandparents wedding? Itsfor the future.' And thats what sold me, hes right, its something to look back on and for our children to have.

The video definitly captures your day beautifully. You looked beautiful and you all seemed so happy. Hope my day can be that way too. Definitly makes me glad that I decided on the expense of the video guy.

What a beuatiful video! thank you so much for sharing that with us, it was breathtaking! I got all teary when I read your post and seeing the video I can see everything unfold so beautifully!
