with less than 2 months to go - still no headpiece!!

I still havent found one

I dont want a Tiara, I want a round comb or clip for the back of my head (wearing my hair half up half down)

can anyone think of somplace in Nassau or Suffolk with a LARGE selection?

already went to Estelles, Barrons, and almost every bridal store in nassau.

I want something like this, but with more sparkle

try Tri-County in Levittown- there is Barron's and also a few other places (i dont' know their names)...i got my tiara there and I love it!!! Also, it was a lot cheaper than other places I have looked- I also got mini crystal combs for my bridesamaid's hair there- soooo cheap and really nice looking!

I was so picky with mine too..I went to Barron's in L-Town. I LOVED it and went great with the hair and veil. FM me if you are interested. GOOD LUCK!! Congrats to you!
I am looking for pics of my hair clip. If you like mine you can use it. I have all my wedding stuff packed away.

Re: with less than 2 months to go - still no headpiece!!

I use Long Island Wedding Planners (in Commack) for the day of the wedding and they helped with my invites, etc...they had beautiful (but pricey) jewelery and headpieces...mine took about a month to come in, but it was well worth it! Gina, the owner is extremely helpful! http://www.liweddingboutique.com/main.php

Re: with less than 2 months to go - still no headpiece!!

I got mine at Macy's. It's a comb and you can probably wear it in back. It was like $300. If you like it, you are more than welcome to borrow it, just FM me on LIF (Tine73). Pics in Bio and album.

Re: with less than 2 months to go - still no headpiece!!

hmm, i went through the same thing you went through looking for a piece.

i wanted a good amount of sparkle and i wanted a large selection of NON tiara pieces to choose from. i had the absolute best experience with denise leli...

she works out of her home, it's easy to make an appointment and you don't have anyone to contend w/ when choosing your piece b/c it's a one on one appointment.

IMO, it is worth it to really care about your headpiece just as much as the wedding gown b/c it completes the whole ensemble.

for me, i found a piece i loved but wanted it tweaked which was NO problem-- and denise custom made a piece for me that fit within my budget... i'm so delighted with the service i got and with my headpiece... i even changed my mind several times and she was fantastic.

her direct line: 631-862-1932

hope that helps-- good luck hun! i'm SURE you will find the perfect piece!!

Re: with less than 2 months to go - still no headpiece!!

at tri county there is a booth (not barrons) that sells broches, kinda right in the back of the store when you walk in from the parking lot behind it....they have beautiful crystal ones, in every color you can imagine, and clear as well...i used one from here, you can check my hair in my album, also i bought each of my girls beautiful gold ones to stick in their bo-ks..it went over amazing!! the girls were able to have a sentimental thing from their flowers, and i was able to get something VERY different for my hair

Re: with less than 2 months to go - still no headpiece!!

I know you asked for a place on Long Island, but check out Princess Bride Tiaras . I ordered my headpiece from here and it was excellent quality. They have a selection of bridal combs. Otherwise, check out ebay.
