Really need everyone's prayers - Please!

Really need everyone's prayers - Please!

I took DH to the emergency room last thursday night
He was diagnosed with acute appendicitis and they did surgery the next morning
DH was in the hospital for 4 days and came home Monday around 4pm

Around Wednesday, he started talking funny
Really not acting like himself
He says his tongue is swollen and that is why he is talking like that; - I dont know

I can't explain all of the 'symptoms' but I am REALLY worried about him - I know it sounds terrible but when he talks, he almost sounds like a stroke victim

I called the hospital today and they said if I was really concerned to being him to the ER - DH refuses to go and says we'll talk to the surgeon on Tuesday when he has his follow up appointment

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE keep him in your prayers
I am so worried and Ive cried but it just makes him feel worse so Im trying not to cry in front of him

I just want my regular DH back -

oh no -- I hope he feels better!

Perhaps he had a delayed reaction to the anasthesia? That happened to me two days after I had my gall bladder removed (advanced gall bladder's disease). In my case , my diaphram was irritated by the anasthesia and began to spasm like crazy -- mimicking a heart attack. It was BAD like really painful but in the end turned out to be pretty harmless

I know you're pregnant -- try to stop imagining the worst so you're not all stressed out.

I hope everything is ok. Do you think he has had an allergic reaction to his medications?

my thoughts and prayers are with you and your DH!!!!! I hope everything is ok and try not to worry to much i know you are pregnant you don't need added stress...I know it is hard but we are all thinking of you!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I do think it is some type of allergic reaction to the meds so i gave him an antihistamine to reduce the swelling of his tongue since that is what he says it is

Aww, no. Hopefully it is just a reaction to the meds, and the benadryl will help. If not, he really should go to the emergency room. If not for himself, ask him to please do it for you. I don't really blame him for not wanting to go. Try not to get yourself too stressed and upset...you have to take care of yourself too. I will keep you both in my prayers. Please keep us posted.

Men can play that tough guy role sooo hard!!

He may also be nervous as to what the cause of his symptoms are and may not want to confront them. Maybe w/ you being pregnant he doesn't want to worry about him and that's causing him to be nonchalant?
