For those of you who are NOT TTC (and aren't pregnant!)...

Are you a ever a little dissapointed when you get AF ? DH and I are waiting until October before we start TTC. Every month, I get a teensy little bit disappointed when AF comes. It is so silly because it is my decision to wait until October but still!

We feel like We are still young, and really aren't ready yet. So, we are just the opposite. Everytime its a bit late... I freak!

Yes for me, no for DH.

I totally know and realize that now is not the time, but after being together for 11 years, married 3, and the oldest of 7 where I saw that my parents just kept adjusting to life, I do sometimes get disappointed.

DH however, is not on the same page with me at all.

I could be lame or I could bs and say something like 'hang in there, its ok' but i'm gonna be brutally honest.

Though honestly, chin up my dear, you'll be fine.

As far as do I feel disappointed when I get my period....? NO

God I actually say slight prayers of thanks when I bleed.

OH THANK GOD

Im nearly 30 and I want a house first.
We are lower middle class by LI standards. I'd like to have a place of my own and a few other problem solved before I thought about bringing a child into this world.

HE*LL no!

I've been on the same pill since I was 18 and Im hoping, praying, begging it NEVER fails me.

My doc says since Im consistant and on the same drug for so long without complications that it's nearly impossible for me to get pregnant unless I want to. Still. I am TERRIFIED of an accident.

I want a kid.. NOT NOW

If I got pregnant my first reaction would be disappointment. Then i'd deal with it, but I would hate to know my first child's pregnancy was unwanted. I want my children to be loved and wanted from conception and thorough life.

God.. you gave me shivers.. but good luck to you and your husband on starting a family.

Me too...

We've been together 9 years, married almost a month (heehee! ) and nowhere near ready to start a family (hence why I'm still on BCP) but still...I cringe and get a little dissapointed. I totally know how you feel!
It'll happen for us...one can only hope!

ETA: My DH was visibly upset today when he found out about AF...he had the saddest look on his face - so he clearly wants babies too.

OK - time to make more money!

same here. married for almost a year, and while we aren't financially ready or house ready, which are acceptable situations because we could manage, we are also not ready career wise. we are both still so new in our careers that neither one of us could be a stay at home paretn for a couple of months and we also don't have anyone who could voluntarily watch the baby. yet, each time, i feel a slight heart sinking. i'm older than i thought i'd be in terms of starting a family. i always thought i would be a mom by 24. but life has been giving me what is best i guess and i guess having a kid will come at the right time.

I am so ready and so is DH We just bought a house though so we will wait a little bit until we figure out how to run this place first. But whatever happens happens is my motto

I dont get disappointed. We arent ready for a baby yet. We are plenty old enough and have been living together for a long time but we just arent ready at this point in time.

omg i am so happy to get AF. we JUST got a house and really need to replenish the savings before a kiddo. PLUS i'm just loving the time DH and i have together...not ready to unselfishly give it up. a couple years and we'll be ready.
