a wee bit annoyed

DH has been on 4 interviews with this one company so far ... we were hoping they'd offer him the job by now since they keep hinting at it.

But instead, they want to schedule yet-another interview (a phone interview with a diff person).

it's frustrating on its own ... but on top of that, it's extra-frustrating because i can't book anything (day trips / broadway shows / vacations / etc) until i know his schedule.

HOPEFULLY this is the last interview. I can see how it's frustrating but at least he's still getting calls for more interviews instead of never hearing back from them.

Small tip (just in case you don't know) after the phone interview have him write a thank you note for the person's time. This way it's a reminder 'hey remember me' and they see he's reliable and takes time out of his day to do the right thing.
