I woke up this morning actually feeling really good. I slept the ENTIRE night.
Well, I hit the snooze on my alarm, got up and showered. When I turned the water off, I heard my alarm going off (oops?), so I run to the bedroom and turn it off.
As I am just about ready to leave, a cop knocks on my door telling me they got a complaint about my alarm. I explained that I hit the snooze, went into the shower, and turned it off as soon as I heard it. 'You have to be more considerate of the people around you'.
I cocked my head to the side and I said 'You're kidding me, right?'. Cop said I was giving him an atttitude and this was a waste of time.
THEN, TELL IT TO THE PERSON WHO CALLED, IT'S 8AM ON A WEEKDAY, PEOPLE WORK.
I get here, and my boss is being a complete jerk. He's asking me to do something I have no knowledge of. I ask for help and he rolled his eyes at me.
I'm 2 seconds from walking out the door. Why did I leave home today?

wow, that's crazy! can't believe someone called in a complaint about your alarm (though i have been in their shoes before and i know how annoying that can be) ... but as you said - it's 8am, they should go to work too!!!
i hope your day gets better soon!

it was an accident, and besides, my alarm turns off after 15 minutes of going off anyway so even if I wasn't home, what could be done in that time? but calling the cops!? call the office and complain, whoever keeps calling the cops for this stupid petty stuff is getting on my nerves.

Re: Bad morning already
you have to figure, a snooze takes 9 minutes, right? I got up, got a drink of water, filled the cat dish, and jumped in the shower. I washed my hair last night so I wasn't in there for more than 5 minutes. the alarm couldn't have been going off for that long.

That's ridiculous! The cops responded that quickly to your house? I'm shocked!

it was like, maybe 20-25 minutes, the alarm went off at 7:36, and they came by 8:15, as I was leaving.

I think it is absurd that someone called the cops about that! Sorry you're having a rough start to your day!

Ok seriously where do you live?
I would knock on all of your neighbors doors and find out who it was.

Re: Bad morning already
lake grove apartments. we're looking to leave soon, our lease it up in may and i am hoping DH gets his transfer. the walls are soo thin. and we keep to ourselves because there is really nothing you can do about the noise, but i mean if you're going to bother me, than expect me to say something. im contemplating on writing some sort of sign and putting it over the mailbox saying
'Who ever is calling the cops over stupid petty noise needs to stop, and save the calls for real emergencies, and if you have a problem, knock on my door'.
