Dear Lent

You and I have kind of gone along ignoring each other all these years. I don't really understand you, but you come every year and for the most part its all good. I get to tease people about giving things up and feel great about being a Jew who gets to eat chocolate and curse and drink soda. I guess you kinda got tired of that arrangement though.

Lent, we're officially fighting...since apparently when you show up it means that everyone at my workplace will be warming up fish in the microwave every Friday. I could barely eat my lunch today.

I say you bring in a huge steak or burger to work...heat that up and let them smell that!
