Fake Chase Email

Fake Chase Email

I just got an email for Chase Card Services saying there's been possible fraudulent charges to my account. I clicked on the link and signed in and it took me to a page that asked me to enter in all my info for security purposes (mailing address, social security #, drivers license, credit card #'s). Once I got to the ss # and drivers license # I stopped immediately and checked the web address which did not start with www.chase.com. I x'd out of that, went into the REAL Chase and changed my password.

IF YOU GET THIS EMAIL DO NOT FOLLOW THE LINK!!! LOG IN TO CHASE BY ENTERING IN THE WEBSITE YOURSELF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When I get weird emails like that, I put my mouse over the link. It shows the web address where it will lead you.

Good thing you changed your pw!!!!! Maybe look into changing your user name too?

Ooooh good idea!! Normally I look at the website but this had www.chase.com somewhere in it with a weird beginning part but looked normal (if that makes any sense).

wow, good thing you checked!!!

you should report the site to chase directly ... they might send out a mass email warning to all their customers

Just did! The email looks just like it came from Chase...even the email address it came from was a chase.com email!
