well... we're not celebrating, but i always acknowledge it...

When I first read this, I thought you wrote 'Halfassery,' and I'm like yeah, I still do that.
We don't really celebrate the half anniversaries. Usually we don't even acknowledge it either.

DH and I say 'happy anniversary' to each other every single month .... we don't do anything to 'celebrate' though

THIS EXACTLY! Every month the first one to recognize it says to the other 'do you know what today is?' (usually me) and the other will respond (usually DH) 'our X month anniversary'. We don't do dating anniversary anymore. We did the first year and after that we just realized we would eventually get married so we didn't think it was neccessary.

I also practice halfassery, but not half year anniversaries- not since I was 15.
ETA: Also, figuring out your half year anniversary requires math which I don't do voluntarily.
