Introducing my Baby Girl!!!

Hi Everyone! First of all, thank you all so much for all of your positive energy! It definitely helped me through being late, getting an induction, and labor in general! You ladies rock.

Rivka Joy was born yesterday at a whopping 8 pounds 11 ounces, 22 inches! The name Rivka was my DH's mom's Hebrew name . Joy is after one of my favorite well-known poets who died this past year--she used to write the word 'joy' on everything she signed, so we thought it would be a great tribute. I got induced at 10am, and Rivka was out and about (or just in my arms) at 6:28pm. Needless to say, I was pleasantly surprised by the fairly quick labor, especially considering it was an induction! We are all doing really well, and I can't wait to share my birth story and tons of pics! Until then, here are two sneak peaks .
