Is it me?

I sorta find some of the question on the LIF board a little too prying. Like how much is your CC debt? Or what is your family secrets?

Why would people put answers for questions like these on a public forum?

The family secrets thing had me , too. My family has PLENTY of them, but I just chose not to respond.

I guess they don't care. Kinda surprises me too. Two things you shouldn't talk about is sex and finances. They could have family lurking!

Those questions I kinda find funny but when it comes to finances especially I get a little leary. I guess its my paranoia!

People over there definitely don't think about the fact that they're on a public domain and ANYONE can read what they are writing...

I don't care if people know my husband chokes the chicken, but I DO care if people know how much debt I'm in.

Ditto, I find it more fun an entertaining to trade those kinds of stories with one another - makes the day fly.

Hmmm I think it depends on what my answer is. I don't really care if people know that I'm paying back my student loans, but I wouldn't post a secret about my great grandma that no one knows or something like that.

If it's info about me that I don't mind sharing, I have no problem posting it. But I would never announce that I do drugs (not that I do lol-just an example), steal, or some other things that I have seen nor would I announce anything personal about someone else.

thats the beauty of having the option not to answer... its doesnt bother me if someone wants to share their finances...

kinda along the same lines of someone here posting how much their wedding costs...

No no no- Please dont get me wrong! I am talking about money matters or if grandpa was married to his sister who was a street walker in 1905.
