DH and I just noticed him scratching his ear really badly, and we looked inside and he definitely has ear mites.

Can someone recommend an excellent-though affordable-vet in Nassau County? I'd prefer somewhere in the southwestern part, but throw other recommendations out too. I need to get my little boy better!

Until we can get him to a vet, does anyone know any at home remedies that I can use to stop him from itching or to ease his pain???

awwwww poor thing, my cats had them when they were babies before we took them to the vet for the first time. unfortunatley i cant help and i feel so badly. they had a prescription ear drops to take care of them. the best i can say is go to the pet store and ask if there are any over the counter remedies. maybe also change the post name to 'reasonable priced vets' or something...i am so sorry i feel terrible

Jeffrey Rothman....Long Island Animal Hospital in Westbury....my babies had them and he treated them for it.
