Thank you card help!!

Thank you for sharing our special day. We're so happy you could be there to celebrate with us. Thank you so much for the gift- we appreciate your generosity.


I usually wrote things along that line.

I wrote something like:
Thank you for sharing in our special day with us and for your generous gift.

I'm big on personalization but for people I didn't know too well, I said something along the lines of:

Thank you so much for your generous gift! It will be a huge help as we start our life together. We had a wonderful wedding day and were so happy that you were able to share it with us.

We hope to see you again soon on another joyous occasion!


-If it was our parents friends we usually said something like, 'We knew it meant so much to X and X for you to be there to celebrate.'

-We also thanked people if they traveled far to be there with us.

-For Friends, we usually do some inside joke.
