wedding gift

We have a wedding to go to tonight, the couple came to our wedding and gave us $100. Now do we do the same or do we give more?

The couple was engaged when they came to ours and they were working good jobs, so its not like they were unemployed

Pfft, I'd want to give them the $100 but it feels wrong to me. I'd probably at least give them $150. That's just me and my guilty conscience though.

maybe I'm mean but unless they're good friends (and I'd hope good friends would've been more generous) I'd give them $100. If you like them more then add up to $50, but no more. Maybe I'm still bitter about being stiffed at my wedding

I want to be mean also and part of me wants to give them the same, its my sister's BIL and I've known him since high school, so I know that he will end up saying something but my sister will put him in his place by saying why I did it

where is there reception? did the wifey come to your shower?

i usually try to factor in all things if im going to give more

for my wedding, one of my BMs gave me 200. when she got married i gave her more. b/c she had to fly in for my wedding. and i didnt have to travel for hers.
