what goes on at a

pampered chef party? I have never been and got suckered into going to one for DH's best friend's wife. LOVE her but it is with all of her work colleagues and I have no idea what I got myself involved in...

the Pampered Chef lady will come and show you how awesome pampered chef stuff is (she'll cook with their things and whatnot) ... then you get to eat the food .... and then they give you a catalogue and try to convince you to buy things.

i went once and had a good time, but i probably wouldn't want to go to another one ... it wasn't THAT fun

Thanks Mor! I didn't even know that PC was a brand of equipment. Hm. Am I obligated to buy something? Does it help my friend (the hostess) if I make a purchase?

It helps if you buy stuff, but you're not obligated to. I hosted one and I loved it. I've also been to a few others. Normally they play games and do demonstrations. It's a lot of fun!

Okay last question - promise! What form of payment is accepted/best?

We have kitchen stuff coming out the ying yang in our one bedroom apartment but I love this girl so I'll do it if it helps her out....

I always use a credit card. I have a mandolin from them and I LOVE it. Also, cookbooks are fun. I have the carving set for Thanksgiving and we use it all the time. You'll get to try stuff out too, so you can pick that way!

I'm pretty sure they take them all (cash, credit, debit, check). I'm actually having a Pampered Chef party myself in a couple of weeks!

Ok I have the pizza stone (ok, but I don't make a lot of pizza) and the most AMAZING pitcher EVER.

let me know if you have any questions after the party- my DH's mom sells it and I swear i have the whole collection. All the non stick cookware is so great, and i love love love the stones!

The gadgets are pretty great too!

Have a good time- and pay attention to the recipe that the chef makes, they're usually yummy and easy!

yeah, what Teri said! It makes everything super crispy and delicious! I use the pizza stone all the time- you can make great stuff on it, not just pizza. I can def give you some good recipes. I also have the baking dish one that makes caseroles and the loaf pan!

i've been to a few pampered chef parties and they usually make things so you can see what their gadgets do!

I love the salad chopper and pizza stone. It's also silly (and only a $1) but I have the cirtus peeler and its amazing,.
