what words

yesterday we were out and i got so annoyed listening to people speak. im not sure when the english language went down the drain but i dont like it,

what is like a dagger in your ear when people say it?

I hate
valentiMes
vokka
mute (instead of moot)
mouf (mouth)

Anything that comes out of MILs mouth. English isn't her first language, so I shouldn't criticize, but I can't help but cringe when I hear:

'She is not interesting in doing her taxes.'

'Folkfore Society'

'That's even worst.'

Aside from those, when I hear people say, 'Mines,' (no, not where you dig) I cringe.

I HATE this. I'm also a grammar nazi- when you're talking to me, I'm correcting your grammar in my head and if I'm not careful or you're my DH, out loud.

Edited for typos because that would be awfully hypocritical, huh?

I definaly agree with 'liberry' and 'ax'. Those get me every time.

When I taught middle school, alot of the kids used to say 'mines' instead of 'mine'. I never understood that.

I also hate 'more better'..I see that too much as a teacher!
