Thanks girls! I'll keep you posted on any more details if I ever get them!

Re: DH's Job

I would read into it the exact same way you are...that might not be very comforting. I guess if that question was posed to me or my DH the answer would be it depends on a lot of things. I couldn't say yes or no without knowing all the details.

urgh, yeah I always read into things...no matter what it is.

he asked me how I felt about moving and I was too drunk (thanks Sangria) to participate in the conversation.

Re: DH's Job

wow that is exciting

i would probably respond with if 'right position means a lot more money, a good neighborhood, an ability for my wife to find work, etc, then yes....but it depends the circumstance. i am very much interested in learning more'

something like that

but you guys need to talk about it. if you are NY-ers and vow to NEVER leave....then the simple answer is probably 'no, we have too much invested here (e.g, family, friends, stable? jobs, etc)'

but it sounds like it might be exciting

would you move?

Re: DH's Job

sounds like his boss will be giving him an option to move ... so you can figure out what you want to do once you know the actual details

i wouldn't worry about being FORCED to move anywhere

Re: DH's Job

i think it sounds like there could be an option put out on the table for your DH... if he interested. I agree that it doesn't sound like he would be forced to move.

When my DH got his promotion at his company, they offered him a spot on the travel sales team to Canada because they knew it was a great opportunity for him and could potentially help him grow faster. He didn't have to take it - he could've stayed on a local sales team in NY - but we both agreed that if he did it for a little while, it could be a big help (hopefully more $$) in the long run.

good luck!

Re: DH's Job

Definitely let us know when he talks to his boss. I'm quite interested to see what the thought process was. I still don't get why someone would pose that questions without including more details.
