This is an e-mail I sent to Phil at After Hours following my 8/3/2012 wedding: Hi Phil! I can't begin to tell you the amazing feedback to After Hours' performance on Friday night. All I hear is 'the DJ was amazing...the percussionist was phenomenal...the photobooth was so much fun...everyone was dancing...'. Everyone is telling me it was by far the best wedding they've ever been to and now officially the wedding to beat! You kept the dance floor packed, the music selections appealed to everyone, it was eclectic and flowed seamlesly...it was absolutely perfect. The photobooth was a hit, everyone was thrilled with the drummer, your energy was unstoppable...I don't even know what to say except thank you from the bottom of my heart. After Hours will always be the first and only entertainment I will ever recommend. You were an absolute pleasure to work with and you made our wedding something so special that we will never forget. I will be recommending After Hours to everyone I know! Phil was courteous, responsive and thorough in all of the wedding preparations. Our reception was a blast! There were always people on the dance floor. Phil kept the music going, mixed old and new and it was exactly the party we wanted. We even had some people from the other wedding come in to ours to dance! If you go with After Hours you will not be disappointed.

We chose Phil as our DJ for our wedding and we could not have been happier! He is very lively and comical and really made us, and our guests feel at ease on what could have been a very stressful day. He made the party! We also booked the photo booth through Phil and it was another hit! Our guests could not stop talking about how much fun it was and now we have the pictures as hilarious memories!

We just had our wedding on saturday...Phil and his crew made it amazing! People were up dancing from the beginning to the end! Phil was so energetic, friendly and got everyone in party mode! He was a pleasure to work with, and responded to every email right away. The After Hours group are very professional, friendly, and a pleasure to work with! You need to use them for your wedding! You definitely won't regret it!

I used this DJ for my Wedding on 9/18/2011 after seeing them at a friends wedding in May 2010. 1.What services do you offer?

We offer everything a couple would want and need to take their wedding from exciting to exceptional. That includes Band/dj; musicians for ceremony and cocktail hr.; lighting; plasma and video screens, and much more.

2.What is the main function of the DJ?

It’s our job to make sure the couple and especially there guests have a GREAT time and spend more time on the dance floor than they do in their seat…and that means something that will appeal to everyone. So, besides, spinning all the song’s on the couple’s list, we’ve got to be ready to get a feel for the crowd and work them as well…and to guide the bride and groom on how to make the wedding something they will never forget.

3.Why is quality entertainment so important for a wedding celebration?

Because, a wedding is one of the most important days of their life and music make the party.

4.What types of music do you play?

We play first and foremost what ever the bride requests, but we also take requests from the crowd, unless it’s on the bride and groom’s “DO NOT’ play list, and we generally take our cues from both, because our mission is to keep the party going and keep it alive.

5.What is currently “hot” or the latest “trend” in DJ entertainment?

Plasma and video screens along with custom lighting and live musicians for the cocktail hr.

6.How far in advance should a couple start looking for a DJ?

As a general rule, we suggest 1 year in advance or as soon as they set a date.

7.How far in advance should a couple book a DJ?

Because we book on a first come, first serve basis, and because the couple will need time to formulate their play list, it’s best to book as soon as possible. Our general rule of thumb is 1 to 2 years in advance.

8.Do you also specialize or include any special effects?

Yes, effects are incredibly “hot” right now and can add lots of unforgettable ambiance to the party. We offer a variety of special effects including the couple’s name in lights, dancing on a cloud, etc.

9.How often should a couple effectively meet with the DJ prior to the wedding?

At After hours we meet once at booking and then we talk throughout the year many times, then meet in person once more 1 month before the big day to go over finals and details for the wedding.
