Re: Official Floral Terrace Thread!
I want to get married at FT.I went to a wedding there and it was so nice what I like best about it is the reception dance floor it so pretty the celling above the dance floor is amazing. I also like that they have one wedding at a time (it's not a wedding factory).
I should be booking my wedding by the beginning of July.

Hi everyone my name is Jackie. As I said in the other post I am going to book
FT soon and have some questions?
When neg. and trying to get them to add anything in what should I try to get from them?
Also I called up and asked how much the wedding starts at for 11/5/06 Sunday they said 107 w/tax and everything but she can do is for $100. Can I get a better price from them since they said they would go down to $100 over the phone?
Who should I deal with there?
I appreciate any help you can give me.

Forgive me too!!! Hi everyone. Been super busy. Just bought a house!!! We are very excited.
Leese- keep one thing in mind...most cocktail hour rooms are SO SMALL in comparison to FT's, and I have seen that bar problem all the time in the cocktail hour rooms. I personally think it will be fine. But then again, I am only having 175 people....I believe you were having a lot more, right?Steph
Yeah - at least 300 if not more....
I feel like we discussed cocktail waitresses running drinks during the cocktail hour - but I can't be certain. But I am now definitely concerned. I am sure that maybe we can get another rolling bar somewhere - maybe we even discussed that too!!!
Alas, I'll worry about that next year!

Re: Official Floral Terrace Thread!
Hey girls..Dont worry about the amount of guests you are having and the bar service. EVERYTHING will be fine. My cousin got married there and had 350 guests. During CH we didnt wait on line for a drink because they had 2 bars open during the CH, which the CH room is huge and there is enough room for all the guests to sit and during the Reception they had 2 bars open on each side of the hall PLUS the waiters and waitresses per table were taking drink orderes as well.
ALSO, the FT has elevators for anyone who isnt able to walk up the stairs and I love that the FT is 3 levels....I know when I spoke with Marianne she told me that they will have more staff the night of our wedding becasue of the amount of guests we are having.
I am not worried one bit about our wedding at the FT. BUT the bathrooms.........getting a little concerned about that.

Re: Official Floral Terrace Thread!
Hi everyonehow are wedding plans going?
I am really excited that my wedding is coming up in four months but I feel that I have so many things to do
I need
all tuxes
flowergirl dress
jr bridesmaid dress
shoes
lingerie
limos
calligrapher
pay the remaining balances
favors
accessories
unity candle
guest book and pen
thank you cards
my list can go on and on.....
I feel that now I can do more things during the summer because I finished school. Hopefully
I was reading the compliant about the stairs. Please I have been to many weddings and the bathrooms are always on other floors and down some corridor and what happens is you lose your way back to reception hall because there are two to three brides having their wedding. Anyway there is 2 elevators.
How about the bathrooms any news.
Last time I went was in May they are still the same. ???? Who knows when they are getting done. I would think they would have taken advantage during the winter since it is the off season. ???

Re: Official Floral Terrace Thread!
OMG, I can't believe I missed all the action on this thread on the 14th! I too have been super busy!FH & I are officially in contract on our house & will be closing the end of August! So that has been one rocky road & I haven't been doing too much wedding planning!!!
As Leese posted about someone complaining about the stairs, I was thinking to myself 'why didn't they use the elevator?' I don't expect my 'older' guests to walk the flights of stairs!
Leese don't worry about the bar thing...I went to a wedding there in April & there was no such problem! Like it was said already, FT's CH room is much larger then many!
We are slowly approaching our 9 month mark & I still have to book limos & block the rooms off! Did anyone else receive anything in the mail about a showcase??? I think it is at Sandcastle though! I just did a rough draft of our invitations & things are starting to set in now!

You can definately talk to them on a more personal level at FT! I am dealing with Marianne & could not be more thrilled...She is wonderful to work with...I think it is better to negiotiate in person anyway...They might not lower the price but sometimes items will get thrown in & it makes it all worth while!

Re: Official Floral Terrace Thread!
Hey Leese.....I have intermezzo on my contract....they actually have the waiters walk around to the people on the dance floor or standing and it is on a little sugar cone. For the guests sitting they have other waiters bringing it to them at the tables...
