I can’t thank this site anymore then the other reviewers already have.., without LIW I’d have no vendors!
I planned from NJ not exactly ”oot” but far enough (2 hours on a good day) we couldn’t go to a ton of appointments…. So this site helped tremedously
All pics are non pro taken by my DOC... sorry they are all at the bottom of the review and not in it.. didnt work the way i wanted them to! Let me know if you have ANY questions about any vendors...

Invitiations: Rexcraft.com -A
They were exactly what I wanted after looking at 1000 of them online. I ordered online, the staff there was great when I went to check on making a font bigger… came within a week…
Great customer service,resonable price (I got 125 invites for $250!) great invitation! Highly recommend


Shower Favors: Wrapwithus.com- A+
Everything I order from them comes within 2 days, and in great condition never dissapoints
Wedding Favors/Place card frames: favorwarehouse.com- C-
Only reason they don’t get a D or F is b/c WHEN they finally sent me my favors they were very nice
I only ordered from them instead of wrap with us b/c they had the frames I wanted and wrap didn’t
Big mistake! I would have used a diff. frame if I knew they had zero customer service… never answered the phone or emails ..lots of Better business bureau complaints as well (checked them AFTER my drama)

Cardstock and vellum: Paperandmore.com – B+
They had reasonable prices and great product
Only problem with them was that they tried to send my stuff another way they “upgraded” me to us mail… I paid for ups (the large pkg doesn’t fit in mail box and it was weeks of rain ups man knows to put pkgs in porch) … the man in customer service after giving me a hard time about switching my upgrade back to my normal way (they sent me a “your item is shipping usps “ email) managed to put It back to ups… so great product but if you don’t want something us mail make sure u put it on the order notes section….
Made my programs with the vellum and some paper from ebay…
Pics of all my DIY stuff is in my album…did place cards, programs ,table numbers, (and menus but I threw them out on accident!)




Rings: kevin’s fine jewelry , totowa, NJ- A
Kevin is a jeweler my husbands family has used for years… he got my ering there and we got all bands there…. They have dippped my ring for me and clean it all the time without batting an eye (or charging for some reason) .. they are very nice there.. id say resonably priced as well…. They did have a bit of solder on my ring (where main ering stone attached to band) that was gold tinted and after 3 tries got it to be silver toned … its not their fault the methods didn’t take but im glad the last one worked so no fault of theirs really that I was neurotic about my pin head sized gold tinted solder spot hehe

Dress: Davids bridal , wayne , nj: - A
Yes I gave davids an A! Maybe its because they aren’t fussy and touchy there.. we walked in on a Saturday morn (me and my best friend) without an appiontment it was really busy but they fit us in only had to wait 5 min… the lady brought me 4 dresses I circled and left me alone.. which was perfect didn’t want someone I didn’t know dressing me or hovering… 3rd dress I tried on bought on the spot.. and never looked back…. They did try to get me to take that dress but I had them order a new one.. came in quick 2-3 weeks…




Alterations; Bridal elegance, A for my dress…
She really did a lot for very resonable price on my dress… my bustle was fantastic got compliments on it all night… only thing id say is make sure she reinforces the hook/eye at the top of zippers for you extra tight…anything she loops she makes just a fine thread so make sure if you want any of those to stay you have her really reinforce it b/c mine broke early luckily I had the best coordinators in the world with all their tools to fix me over and over again.. she was such a sweet lady to work with too… id 100% recommend her for a bride’s dress alteration
Headpiece: I got my head band and veil from phyllis as well… looooved it more then anything



Bridesmaid dresses: Phyllis, bridal elegance dix hills; A for dress quickness, B- for alterations
The dresses came in exactly week she said they would , about 2 months… they were jordan #609.
The girls did have to go to the store for alterations a few times more then I think was necessary [ ie: she would mark up the dress write down say.. ‘boning in dress’ we’d come back next appointment but that woudn’t be done but all other stuff to do was done on the dress.. making us have to come back for the ‘boning’ again) but price was capped at 45 (its raised now to 65 for new brides to be thinking of ordering)…..she did a good job.. average on their dresses… a few loose straps.. one was slightly big on the bridesmaid (who had 3 appointments too); one was slightly tight…
I do recommend her just make sure you give her a lot of time to get things done specially in busy seasons…

Tuxes: Cozy’s formal wear, wayne, nj & redbank, nj- B+
Good prices guys looked good…a few problems , long sleeve,wrong shirt , long pants, wrong vest … all fixable before or on day of… not bad to deal with …

DOJ: I got my jewel from a few diff. places… my tennis bracelet and necklace were QVC Epiphany Diamonique.. LOOOOVE them… looked real! Earrings were from macys, other bracelet from lord and taylor…



Ok here’s the big vendors!

Officiant: Pastor April ; Church of ancient ways- A+
We can't say enough about Pastor April, she is the sweetest woman and completely personalized the ceremony for us… 1 meeting with her we knew she was doing our ceremony…. When we were looking around my husband didn’t even want t o consider a woman doing the ceremony but once he met with her his tune changed, he fell in love with her as much as everyone else did who attended our ceremony…. She made everyone at the ceremony cry (in a good way of course)…. Very great , highly recommend!

Hair/Makeup: Jen ( the hair genie) & Oksana (make up by oksana) –A+
I booked them feb 06 for my april 07 wedding.. never had a trial till march 07… told them to work their magic and they did! Glad I booked without a trial… the day of they had to get up before the sun to get to me at 5 am…. They were on time and so much fun.. great people to have around you on your wedding morning… oksana even made me coffee since I was so sleepy… the whole time they made us laugh and told fun stories… they did a great job on everyones hair and make up… wouldn’t hesitate one min. to recommend them to anyone… great women to work with

What can I say that hasn’t been said about Dom and Mike on this site before… they were fantastic.. They put up with my wacky “supa’ sta’” poses all day…Dom kept me laughing even that early in the morning while getting ready…(Dom is great even if he threatened me with Oksanas eyelash curlers if I didn’t stop tearing up haha) They were everywhere… taking a million shots… everytime I looked up during the reception Mike was clicking away … of course id try to do my signature “supa sta’’ pose when I noticed hahah… They were great.. I can’t wait for my pictures… so glad I had two photogs b/c I couldn’t take any shots as I had planned (im obsessed with pics-usually take hundreds for no reason).. but I have about 30 with my camera b/c during family pics my sister took my less then 1 year old camera and dropped on the dance floor while taking family pics.. with the lens open... guess who bought a new camera the day after the wedding.. ME!... but I didn’t need one at all with 12th night (and my doc’s!)
I will put proofs up when I get them… but im sure they will be great…


Timber Point CC- Before B- Day of A+++
Ive seen lots of reverse grades here, RH’s being great before but lacking day of… but mine was awsome where it counted…
BM: Ben .. after we booked he was super hard to get a hold of, usually I got Neal which was fine by me b/c he seemed nicer to deal with.. but I really didn’t need to talk to them too much.. so it didn’t bother me at all..
Isaiah –Matre’d A++++: Now he was the ‘man’ haha… he was great he coordinated everything with my doc’s and the dj/mc… he wasn’t overly pushy.. he was a great person to deal with.. always on top of things.. and really got along well with my Doc’s.. he even complimented them on how great they were…
Kerry- attendant/waitress:A+++: now I went into this going I have a Matre’d and DOC I don’t need an attendant but one is there so ill humor her.. well she took care of lots of stuff too! Always getting me water/beer/reminding me when food was on the table… she took care of the small hall type stuff like that… getting us extra food, wrapping that stuff up etc…. she was great.. and I felt so bad for her, she had to do the evening wedding too! Long day for the poor girl… but she was doing a great job too…

The food got rave reviews; we both loved it too (only one problem, some chicken was not cooked enough at cocktail hour but was immediately fixed no harm no foul)..… all our guests loved the place, the grounds were so green, everythign was in full bloom and we lucked out with the weather… so everyone could wander around looking at the property… it was great place b/c half our wedding guests were from jersey so it was a great way to introduce to pretty Long Island ….




Cake: Black Forrest; A+++++ , Tom
We went to see Tom a few weeks before.. and I gave him a lot of room to do what he wanted too..
Just said vanilla icing and alternating tiers of chocolate cake/van pudding; vanilla cake/choc. Pudding
For some reason all my guests were amazed we had 2 types hahaha… but the cake was sooooo pretty and very very very yummy…. We didnt wait till our 1 year to eat it.. its half finished in the fridge heheh





DOC- Exquisite Affairs Productions: Christine and Hollie A++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Ok yes they get all those pluses and MORE… just keep imagining more and that’s how great they were… best vendor by far. The week before I didn’t have to stress , Christine was on top of everything…
I never actually met her before the day of the wedding but we chatted on the phone.. I had another DOC hired but I had “that” gut feeling, there was a lack of communication and such so had to let her go.. she didn’t do anything horrible just didn’t feel comfortable with her anymore.. so I went with Christine about 2 months before the wedding… I sent her all my spreadsheets (im biiig on spread sheets) she didn’t think I was nuts! That’s great right there… Day of the wedding Christine and Hollie showed up and just took control of the show… I have no idea what I would have done without them there… they made everything work and work perfectly…. I can’t even start to describe everything they did for me and my husband.. and my bridal party and fam… my mother thought I was nutty for hiring someone since I was so organized; 1 hour in she’s like wow now I know why you did…. They were there to fix my dress when I broke the hook/eye while breathing haha, fixed two or three bridesmaids dresses , a tux button, the list goes on and on.... hollie was there at every turn with a camera too, that was awesome especially after my sister busted my camera… that really meant a lot… she also had me putting on lipstick , helped me go to the bathroom… all those fun things! Christine and Hollie really went above and beyond what I could have even imagined they would do and they did it all without breaking a sweat it seemed…. I could honestly go on and on… Kudos to them….. The matr’d even gave them a huge compliment when we were done.. he said ‘’I usually haaate coordinators b/c they are pushy and horrible to deal with, but your ladies were fantastic”…. So everyone from me and my husband, to my family/bridal party to the hall LOVED them…

Absolute entertainment, dj/mc/video : A+++++++
My brother works for them as a dj … so picking them as my Dj/Mc/Videography was a no brainer…..
I sent Jeff a list a month before of all the info needed & a CD of wacky songs I wanted for ceremony..we haaaaate wedding music.. I didn’t want anything really traditional played (we did play 3 songs like Sinatra etc) but not even at cocktail hour did we want that type of ‘normal’ music.. he totally got what I was talking about and went above and beyond with the music selection for cocktail hour and reception… even my grandmothers 82 year old best friend was on the dance floor (oh yah and she was ROCKIN’ out to usher!!)… also I changed my recessional song at the last minute to an instrumental version of shipping up to boston that my brother mixed for me… well I burned it in the wrong format day before wedding and Jeff only got it day of… well SOMEHOW he got it to work… I told him if he couldn’t its ok we’ll use the orginal song but I was very surprised and jumping up and down as I walked down the aisle to my shipping up to boston!!... I even gave him a boquet point from the alter after he started the song.. couldn’t hold in my happiness hahahahaha… I really appreciated it… I gave him the total out to not play it but he worked magic in the 10 min he had… He played everything I wanted and in a great order that kept everyone on the floor grooving …
Also we had our videography through them too… they were both great as well.. Fred Tims was our main videographer, we had him and an assistant.. they were great… all over … at the right place at the right time… I realllllly can’t wait to see if they got my gmas friend grooving and falling on the dance floor (oh yah she fell…. She was wearing big heels for a lil ole’ lady haha she’s a trip)............... i got the video its perfect coudlnt' ask for anything better.... girls def. look into getting video from absolute (his company is called fred tims videographey)




Limo. Legend limo, Bob- A+++
We added limos a month before the wedding since we realized we had a little more money available then we thought… so glad we did… Got the new stretch escalade… for 3 hours.. they were prompt to take the guys from hotel to Timber… Took a little longer then we estimated to get back to hotel for 2nd trip but no harm done.. we weren’t in that big of a rush…
Also we had booked a town care for the ride home.. they sent a limo.. which was PERFECT b/c the 2nd shuttle from lindys was like 45 min later then it was supposed to so the remaining 10 people jumped in with us… Great drivers… super nice…. Highly recommend

I only give them a C b/c the 1st van was early… buttttttt 2nd van trip was super late … I don’t know why we weren’t getting 2 vans for 2 trips 20 min apart.. b/c the 1st one totally wouldn’t be able to make a return trip by then…
But the 1st one was prompt (actually early!) … they wouldn’t listen to my husband when he tried to tell him what marriott we were staying at,.. they went to the wrong one that’s why everythign was so late…


Florist- La Blossom: Laurie was A+++++++++++++++
I went to Laurie met with her 15 min said basically here’s my colors I trust you to make something pretty.. and boy she did… I loooovoed the flowers … got compliments from everyone on how pretty they were…
Centerpieces were perfect too.. very simple and springy
She is a great person to deal with… loooove her work…






Rehearsal diner- riverview; A+
We booked with Riverview about 6 months before.. dinner was great and everything moved smoothly


Hotel block- courtyard marriott Ronkonkoma- A
They didn’t have a ‘record of the block’ for one person who called but It was double checked on there.. we had the king suite for 2 nights… and it was hugeeeeee… great for getting ready day of the wedding
They didn’t bother us when we brought in tons of beers and champagne and had a 20 person LOUD party up in the room after the weddign.. no one batted an eye…
Very nice clean hotel…. Good choice for blocks and yourself…


Honeymoon: Aruba- Bucuti (www.bucuti.com)
We did a lot of research on tripadvisor and LIW about honeymoon destinations… I knew I wanted 1 direct flight to somewhere beachy.. so that ruled out the ‘biggies’ hawaii, tahiti, etc.. Aruba was right up our ally… we choose the lowrise section to go for the more laid back type of honeymoon.. GREAT time… perfect….staff was super friendly in/around the hotel, room was huge (we got the penthouse), the pirates nest (their restraunt) was very yummy we ate half our meals there b/c we didn’t want to go anywhere.. the sand bar was great .. awsome bartenders with heavy hands….
We did the Kukukanuku bus.. MUST do in aruba.. we acutally met up with another LIW lady who was staying at our hotel..we went with them on the bus as well as a sail and a few dinners…
We didn’t do activities but there were tons and looked like fun (im just not a big ocean person I like seeing it but from the pool)… we ate at french steakhouse, le dome, and skipped all the other biggies .. that’s for next time… we def. plan on gogin back at least an every other year type trip with the brothers and sisters….
