I asked my sister about curacao, and she didn't remember where she stayed, but that it was one of the big chains.

Anyway, here's what she told me...

The island is dutch so the main city looks like amsterdam, she said it's very nice. They rented a car and drove around the whole island, so it's not like Jamaica where you have to stay at your resort. The island is very safe.

She said it's not a very busy island. It has some snorkeling, bu there isn't really any parasailing and tons of watersports, it's more a relaxing place. She did go to the aquarium and dove in their tanks. She is scuba certified, but she is almost positive that you can dive uncertified with an instructor. She really liked it.

It's also not a place where people come up to you on the beach trying to sell you stuff. The 'natives' pretty much leave you alone.

There is also not tons of nightlife. They went out to restaurants for dinner, but if you are looking to party all night, not the island for you. She said Aruba might be better if you are looking for a lot of watersports and nightlife.

Also, the island is very cliffy, so the beaches are rocky. You have to wear watersocks or something to go in. But the beaches are little coves between the cliffs, so they are very pretty. The cliffs make the island picturesque.

That's all I really have. I hope this helps a little. She loved it and would recommend going there if you are looking for a quiet, relaxing honeymoon.
