Scotto Bros. Brides - Anyone using or have used the on premise florist?
Good morning ladies!
Anyone getting married at Fox Hollow, Chateau Briand or Westbury Manor using or have used the Scotto Brothers on premise florists, Distinctive Designs? I'm wondering if you can give me any feedback, good or bad - I have not met with them yet, but plan to. I've met with Pedestals they were fabulous but kind of expensive Also, if you can give me an idea what you are getting for you money, that would be great! I'm not looking for anyone to tell me how much they are paying, but if you can kind of give me a round about idea Thanks! I know I can count on you!

I did not use any of their house vendors, especially thier florists, one of them, I can't remember which one it was, all I remember was that she was short & plump with a thick accent and she was the rudest, most full of herself person I ever met in my life. I was looking for a florist to work with to fill some terra-cotta flower pots I hand painted myself & when I asked her, she said to me 'I won't do them if your pots are ugly' I wanted to slap her!!!
I used Bethpage Bouquet & they did AWESOME work!!! They did my 10 centerpieces (filled my pots for me which looked beautiful), I had three bridesmaid bouquets, my bouquet (white roses, yellow daisies & white gerbras looked AWESOME) then she threw in free petals for my basket & two small hand bouquets for my flowergirls ( for pictures). They also put flowers on my cake and all of the corsages looked great. All this for under $700!!! Every other place I went to (I must have gone to about 10 places) wanted to charge my DOUBLE!!! Plus they start throwing all these crazy (elaborate, but beautiful I'm sure) decorating ideas at you and I already knew what I wanted so.... I would check them out & compare them to whom ever else you might use....I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.

Thanks for your response! I will be sure to do plenty of research before I choose my florist! I am getting married at Fox Hollow so hopefully the consultant is different from who you spoke too I'd be mortified if she told me pots I had painted were ugly That took nerve! Well anyway, thanks again! And I'm glad you went to another florist!

I really didn't like any of the vendors that Scotto brothers offered but I never met with the in house venor Distictive Designs. I know there is a bride on this board using them and they were given a good price for what she wanted at her wedding.

So far I didn't go with any house vendors either, but I figured if I were, the florist was the easiest way to go! Well we'll see! Thanks for your feedback! I will be sure to find the post of the bride who is using them!

Hi, I'm using the in-house florist for our upcoming wedding at the Westbury Manor. I first met with Joseph-who is the Scotto wedding coordinator-and he had such wonderful, creative ideas.
Just the other day, I met with Annabelle, who is the florist at WM. We ran through everything on our contract and all of the details discussed with Joseph. She was very patient with my indecisions, and offering lots of input.
We've always admired how the WM restaurant and lobby areas are decorated...it seemed like a good fit to have same designer do our flowers.
I was surprised by how reasonable their prices are.
One thing to keep in mind-they don't deliver. I had to enlist a GM to pickup bouquets and bouts from WM the morning of the wedding. May be an inconvenience for some...my GM lives right around the block so no problem for us.
I'd recommend to give Joseph a call. He has lots and lots of ideas, books, pictures in his office. Can't hurt!!
Good luck! Let us know how it goes!!

Thanks! I knew there was a delivery situation involved, I just forgot exactly what it was! Anyway, I'm glad to hear someone is using the on premise florist! I went to Fox Hollow last week and they had all of their floral arrangements in an autumn theme and it just looked fabulous! I guess I will have to make an appt. to meet with Joseph! It doesn't hurt to try!

I used simply elegant also and was very happy w/ the table centerpieces but not my personals MIL's coursage died an hr into then they didnt even send a boutineer for my dad so until they came w/ the tables, he was sharing w/ a groomsmen, this made me mad b/c before we took a pic, he had to get a flower!! they were okay, but I was sorry we didnt use pedestals, but I didnt pay for the flowers so I didnt have the final say :((

I had met with the in house florist and liked what they had to offer, but choose pedestals. we are paying less and getting more! I used all the fox hollow vendors and am so grateful they have that list. I even received a gift certificate for $100 that we can use on our 1 yr anniversary at any Scotto restaurant.

Thanks for you input everyone! I have pretty much decided to go with pedestals... I was really happy with Danny's ideas! However, I did want to give the on premise florist a shot... so we'll see, I may just see what they have to offer! Thanks again ladies!
