very expensive ... my friend got married there & while nice, I think I've been to better weddings where I know they paid less $$$. It's about you, not the $$ you spend.

I visited the place and found it absolutely gorgeous....we could have afforded it, if we really wanted to, but we thought the price was just to outrageous for the package they give you. So we decided against it. I heard very good stuff about the place. Also, the min for a Saturday night was 200 and we thought we would be close to that and didn't want to pay for people if we came under (we wound up with only 170 on our wedding day).
If you can afford it and the cost is worth it to you, then I say go for it!

One of my cousins has been there, as well as a very good friend of mine. I have heard rave reviews from both of them! They said the food was incredible and the service impeccable. My friend also said that the elegance of the place is unsurpassed - she said it's definitely of a different era, that you feel like you are transported back to the days of Gatsby.

One of my best friends just got married there in October (sunday night). It was beautiful, bridal suite was HUGE and the staff was great. Food was par, I have had better & Worse. It is very expensive! They had invited 300 but only 180 came and they had to pay for the full 200 people. It was raining on and off so we didn't get to take any outdoor pics. Overall a nice place, great service but IMO not worth the money.

My mom is a muscian and played parties there. She said the parties & weddings never 'get off the ground'... and it is super duper expensive.

I've been to 2 weddings there and my gf is getting married there.. It's beautiful!! and the food is soo yummy!

My MOH got married at the Carltun and it was hands down the best wedding I've ever been to. IMO its worh every cent - 2 years later we're still talking about it.
