Yes I am wearing a veil, elbow length..... and my headpiece is a small comb with pearl and rhinestones

dubliner, is that just a puffy version of the half up hairdo? If so, I think that's kind of what I am wearing as well for my hair, using bobby pins instead of ponytail holder. I do sort of wonder if an updo will look more elegant with your dress. Is your hair naturally straight or curly?

I really don't want an updo, and I think this is a good comprimise. My hair has waves, and can be straight or curly.....and its about her length

Do you have any pictures you are using?

I love the hairstyle!!! I always feel more comfortable with my hair half up than all up. Oh...and I love the dress too! I think it would perfect together! Great choices!

I brought a bunch of pictures, but wasn't sure what I wanted to do for a trial, I wanted to show off my curls, that's the only thing I knew. The hair dresser started to pick the hair up in bunches, from the front to the back, and she got to a certain halfway point, and I liked how it looked, but she continued to pick up more hairs, and that's when I said 'stop, lets go back to that step'. So then she just finalized it. I had pictures takes, but the film is at FH parents home, and hasn't been developed yet. I'll scan then once I have them.
The hairdresser curled all my hair to make it look neater, and then styled it in half up/half down, with curles making the top of my head a bit poufy, but not frizzy. If your dress is backless, then half up/half down will look really pretty. Good choice.

thanks Alina, I'm looking forward to the pictures...I am going to schedule a trial on 2/1 and another 3/8 at 2 different places (I have two weddings to go to)

Hm, another thing is leave some extra free time b/w trial and time to leave for the wedding. The first hair trial I had I came home crying b/c I hated the style and the hair stylist didn't know what she was doing. So if I had a wedding to go to that day, I would have needed an extra hour to wash and style my hair back to normal

Just over from the other post to check things out. I think it would look fine with your dress! I'm having my hair half up and half down as well - I'm definitely more comfortable that way.
