The Dress saga continues
OK I just got home from dealing with Patchogue Bridal Suite for the last time!
Well, they said that they were able to get a dress from a consolidator for me. This WAS a new dress it was immaculate. It was the right size! That is the good part. Now here comes the bad part!
The dress is not MY dress it is 3 inches too short. On my original contract I was 3 inches too short for the dress so it says that if I wore a minimum of a 3 inch heel that I did not need to have the hem to hollow measurement taken! Well, I have on 2 3/4 inch heel on and it is too short. Not only that 3 or more beads started falling off the dress! This dress needs to be ordered to your height. This was someone elses dress that probably never got picked up or was cancelled. At this point Bea is confused and I think even a little mad because she knows now-- that is it she is in trouble. We tried it with different slips etc. Nope, it is too short and I am only 5'5!
So, she is basically telling me she does not know what she can do for me! She tells me that Private Label on has a size 4 left in stock. Which was yet another lie. I have been talking to Peter from Paradise Bridal since Tuesday about this and he already had talked to Private Label for me and they would custom make my dress for me because of the situation!
I told her that she is to give me my money back! I took all of my bridesmaids dresses with me (They of course had a hard time finding one of them, but they did!) We marched them right over to Paradise Bridal.
Peter Jr. at Paradise Bridal has been a god send! He has been trying to help and do whatever he could to make me feel better. I was telling him how I feel about the dress. He told me that he would get me whatever dress I wanted. If I wanted to start looking all over again I could. I told him thank you so much but I just want this to end and if he could get me my dress I would appreciate it. I cannot believe the selection that he had in there--- incredible! I truly wish I had went in there before! I even like the way that the dress are in bags better. I was almost in tears the whole time and Peter just let me vent and do whatever. He is truly wonderful!
Everyone of his girls was coming over and trying to help me! Donna did my measurements and she was a doll too! They were stopping and answering any questions that I had, fixing my tiara, everything!
A+++++++++++++++ to Paradise Bridal. The only sad part even with the rush order-- my dress won't be in until June 1st or so! But at least now I know that I am in good hands!
